Dr. Jackie is extremely professional and she is very attentive to my concerns. She is much better than other doctors I have visited and she went out of her way to take care of my needs.
Excellent services and exceptionally clean facilities 👍🏼
Not happy with the communication of the doctor or the office staff. They will glady take a CASH copayment then miscommunicate with you about what’s needed.
Do NOT recommend. So unprofessional.I went for a ruptured eardrum in which I was referred to an ENT. It was an emergency- life or death per ENT as drainage was moving into lungs-Instead of getting me in, dr. Nyugen handed me three business cards and told me to call them and hope they answered. She is also very rude!
Dr. Jackie Nguyen is a extremely compassionate person, a very good listener, who sincerely cares about her patients. Her knowledge of Medicine and the latest research adds to herProfessionalism. Worst possible doctor!
I came here years ago and never left a review but to this day I get upset even thinking about the unprofessional level of care I received here - my entire experience was beyond unpleasant. People want to go to doctors that make them feel safe and heard which neither her nor her staff achieved at all. When they drew my blood, the nurse was wiggling the needle under my arm so I then asked her to try the other arm where she continued to move it while IN MY ARM. This resulted in me knocking out cold. I fainted and awoke shortly extremely disoriented. It was absolutely terrifying to me.The nurse claimed that my veins were hard to draw blood from and Dr. Nguyen suggested I grab a snack before going to Hoag Hospital to get my blood drawn. I had a couple fries at a nearby fast food restaurant before heading to Hoag where I had an anxiety attack because I was so scared of fainting again. The man who drew my blood calmed me down as I was crying and drew my blood so quickly that I didn't even notice. He then said that my veins are very easy to draw from without me ever even mentioning what the nurse from Dr. Nguyen's practice said.As if this wasn't already bad enough, I could not get her nor her office to call me back for the life of me. I was very anxiously waiting for the results of a growth on my neck. My mom, knowing this, went into the office demanding my results and making a scene without my knowledge. They couldn't release my records to her because I had written down my dad's information out of habit. They eventually gave her my results anyways which she kept from me because I was already stressed out during finals week.I do not condone nor support my mother's actions in the slightest. However, when I called before this incident at the start of the week, the staff told me they'll get back to me after talking to Dr. Nguyen. They never did. I had to call them again at the end of the week despite them already having my results. When she finally got back to me she gave me attitude about my mother's actions and leads me to believe that she did not call me back due to this incident which doesn't make sense. I AM THE PATIENT - not my mother, but me. I apologized profusely for my mother's actions but to not get back to me regarding MY medical results when I AM the patient is beyond me. I sincerely hope things have changed for the better in the past few years but I will literally never step foot in here again.
Dr. Nguyen has been my primary care doctor since I was a teenager. Her staff is always helpful and polite. Dr. Nguyen is both diligent and efficient. I love that she uses the Healow app, which makes it easy for me to request refills and see the results of my labwork. I also appreciate that she's more holistic than some of the other doctors I've seen when it comes to providing patient care. I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen if you want a doctor who knows what she's doing and really cares about her patients.
I can personally say this was the worst doctor experience of my life. Firstly, I went in for simple blood work for an already stressful and unwanted surgery coming up. The doctor put pressure on me to also get a Pap Smear despite having no need for one and her not being my OBGYN or even having that qualification listed. Because I have never had one I had no idea what to expect. As a woman, I feel like it’s common sense to explain what this is to another woman prior to their first time. At the bare minimum to let me know that they will be scraping my cervix when I thought I was getting swabbed. My experience was painful to the point of tears, it lasted far longer than what I’ve read online and it seemed at one point that she went back in a second time. I bled for 2 days afterwards and could not walk. After speaking with many of my friends and my mother I became very aware that the response to a normal Pap smear was nothing like what I was experiencing. My pain was far too extreme to be normal and my very regular period has somehow since been stunted. Dr. Nguyen explained nothing to me and just inserted this machine and began scraping away. I not only felt extremely violated but shocked and very sad being that the reason for my blood work that day was to get a very nerve wracking procedure done that I was not looking forward to anyway. This isn’t even the worst of it. My blood work which was THE ONLY REASON I CAME was due to be sent to my surgeon immediately with risk of cancellation if it wasn’t sent in time. It was never sent over. I expressed in advance the urgency in which this blood work needed to be sent over prior to even making the appointment! They told me with confidence that they would have it sent over to the office, at the latest, 2 days post appt. 4 days later and their excuse was that the fax machine failed, and yet they never contacted me or even followed up to let me know. I had to hear from my surgeon that they were going to have to reschedule my surgery because of this. I immediately called over and they apologized and said they would send it over. 4 calls following up and one week later and my surgeon STILL HADNT RECEIVED THE BLOODWORK. The unprofessionalism of this doctor and this office is truly pathetic. I finally stayed on the line WITH the woman in their office, the 5th call and almost 10 days later, until they could confirm that they had sent my blood work over successfully. Ironically enough, even after they said they did, it was not received by my surgeon until the following day. Knowing both fax and email is instant and that my surgeon was actively looking for it lets me know the woman in the office claiming she successfully sent it still waited until the following day to do so. As a patient, as a woman, and as a person I could not stress how deeply I recommend finding any other doctor. This will be the first bad review I have ever written. I am not a complainer, I have a high pain tolerance and a lot of patience. I’ve worked in the service industry and know that the customer is not always right or justified. This was ludacris on so many levels though and I write this simply to steer other young woman like me away from the nightmare experience I had.
Unprofessional, and unacceptable care from a medical professional.
