Arrived for a 6:20pm appointment and did not see Dr. Wong until 8:30pm only for him to ignore my symptoms and suggest we start off with a basic physical since it had been 6mos since I last visited a doctor.

Dr. Wong has been my doctor for the past 2 years. I'm happy to share that he is AWESOME. He stands by his philosophy, in terms of treating his patients like family. In doing so, I always feel comfortable to share my health concerns. He is MORE than a doctor in my opinion; he is someone who enjoys seeing the betterment of one's health.Thank you Dr. Wong - May Kaiser keep you for a LONG TIME.

I have seen Dr. Wong for over 25 years. He is honest, does a good job, and will only give you treatments that you need..This is unlike many other dentists out there who will try to milk you with unnecessary work.
I've had so many bad experiences with dentists mostly because a lot of them want to make a quick buck and tell you that you need fillings/ root canal when I don't! Luckily, I'm cautious and am the type to get a second opinion otherwise that would have been a painful, costly surgery for nothing! So by all means, I am picky about who I go to. I trust Dr. Wong because he is very communicative and does a thorough job cleaning. He will never tell me I have something I don't have, which saves me a lot of time and anguish. I live in LA and don't get my teeth cleaned until I go see him in SF, seriously. I find it so hard to find a trustworthy, good dentist. After I see him, my gums immediately feel healthier.

The staff there is always friendly. I love the other dentist, Cynthia Wong, who works on Thursdays. She is so friendly and gives good advice on keeping my teeth clean and strong. When I complain about teeth sensitivity, she gives me a mini toothpaste of fluoride at no charge (along with a traveling kit). It is awesome! I no longer suffer from teeth sensitivity =)

I love the area too I go shopping at Union Square after/before the dentist appointment which is great...! I never feel like I'm making a trip just to see the dentist!
My family has seen Dr. Wong for at least 20 years. Now my youngest daughter is also a patient of Dr. Wong. We trust Dr. Wong for his honesty and his workmanship. He does not push like other dentists that you must do this and that. I especially like that he takes care of patients himself instead of passing the teeth cleaning task to dental assistant like other dental offices. I flew my daughter all the way from Los Angeles to see Dr. Wong when she needed dental work becasue we know we can trust his judgment and value his opinion.

Recently, my daughter needed a complex root canal work. Dr. Wong immediately referred her to a specialist. His action showed that he cares about his patient and will do the right thing. Even though his office may not be fancy like others, it is the quality of work and the caring attitude that count. If you need a new dentist or thinking of changing dentist, I would recommend Dr. Wong.
My sentiments echo yelper, Rocky L. I have been a patient of Dr. Wong's since I was 6 years old. My whole family, including my husband and young son are regular patients.

Coming from a traumatic experience with an orthodontist specialist who jackhammered five crowns into my mouth before the age of 6, needless to say, I was highly distrustful of dentists. I recall my early experiences with Dr. Wong were always positive and I trusted him easily. He was gentle and always communicated what was coming next.

So now that I'm a parent and faced with the dilemma of starting my son on regular dental care, I brought him to see Dr. Wong as well. My son started his visits at the age of 2.5 years old. He has had two cavity fillings and after those two painful procedures, he still feels comfortable enough to continue to see Dr. Wong for regular checkups.

Dr. Wong has now seen three generations from my family. He is honest and always has your best interest as his top priority. I look forward to his daughter joining his practice in the near future to continue his great quality family dentistry.
I've been seeing Dr. Wong for the past 25 years; ever since I was first taken there by my mother when I was 5 years old. In the years since, he has become a part of my family as many of my family members now see him for care as well. In the past 25 years, I have at times sought treatment from other dentists due to the fact that my dental insurance did not have Dr. Wong in their network and so I could avoid a copay. Those were mistakes on my part since the other dentists with their flashy gadgets, dvds, and color cameras in my mouth often just found reasons why I was in need of a bridge, crown, or other treatment that would have cost me hundreds of dollars even after insurance kicked in. Upon having returning to Dr. Wong for a second opinion, he told me the truth; that I did not need any of those treatments.

Just like a everyone needs a good mechanic who will not rip you off by recommending needless fixes, everyone also needs a dentist who won't treat your mouth like a used car by recommending unnecessary and painful treatments to make payments on their Jaguars.

In the end, I have stuck with Dr. Wong despite at times my dental insurance network at times not including him, but the negligible copay I pay out of pocket is well worth his years of sensible, down to earth, and HONEST care.
I've been a patient of Dr. Wong's since I arrived in San Francisco in 1998. Warren, as he insists that I call him, is friendly, concerned and professional. When I moved to San Francisco, he worked with my previous dentist in New York to have my XRays and records shipped to him at no cost to me.

I highly recommend Dr. Wong if you want a good, familyoriented dentist.
