Abilene is so very lucky to have this hospital. I use the clinic for all of our PCP needs - kids well checks and family care - and two of my three kids were born in the birthing unit where we had phenomenal care. One was even an emergency c-section and all went well. Every now and then it may be slow or I may second guess what the doc is saying but that's what conversations are for. Not roasting online.
I visited the ER 1/1/22 and have never had a worse experience when dealing with hospitals or the ER before. I came from a city 20x this size and they still don't have the problems this ER had. The attending was surfing Facebook even after she received the tests she requested. She disappeared FOR TWO HOURS after she stated I was to be discharged- even the nurses couldn't find her. She offered no instruction, no assessment discussion, and no information on the condition I was seen for. My spouse had to ask 6 times for her to stitch my face up- I would have been permanently scarred if that had not happened. I'm beyond disappointed. I can't give the ER a zero or I would. The unfortunate thing is I have to live here and if I have another emergency, I have to go back because there is no other ER within 15 minutes. It makes me physically ill to consider going back. They have my info, MHS can call me to discuss this further. What part of this sentence are you unfamiliar with owner of page?.
I went to the walk- clinic for some hip pain. The PA said it was bursitis and a shot would help. I got the shot and proceeded to wait for some of the pain to subside. Fast forward 3 months: I can't take the pain and went to see Dr. Brown. She said it was a bulging disk, prescribed meds and PT. Within a day the pain has diminished significantly. Don't waste your money on the walk-in clinic it's the same price as seeing the Dr. So, instead of paying twice just wait and see the Dr.
Took my son to the ER, the staff and care given was great! Every step from intake with Caitlyn, CNA, discharge with Nurse Rhonda, and plan of care with Nicole Betz, FNP. The team was kind, calming, and provided phenomenal care. We left feeling very confident every measure was taken to ensure our son was ok and ready to follow up with his primary care. Thanks Abilene ER staff for great care!
Heartland Healthcare Clinic was very professionally operated. Receptionists asked the appropriate questions in order to bill your insurance correctly. Nurses and Physicians were respectful and knowledgeable. They definitely know that listening is an important part of communication. GREAT job.
Worst customer service ever in walk in clinic.. don’t bring me here even dead!
The only good thing to say about this place is that we even have a hospital and healthcare system in this town. Otherwise, there are just too many negative things to cover in a single review about the entirety of Memorial Health System. For anecdotal sake, one example, my mother was having menstrual issues and was attending multiple doctor appointments here only for him to tell her it "was her age". Luckily, she trusted her instincts and went to Salina where they actually ran some tests on her and luckily found her ovarian and uteran cancer early on so she received proper healthcare. Not to mention she wasn't outrageously charged for it either. Definitely would not send loved ones for any type of care here.
They are all good people, but seem money hungry. God help you if you owe them and they knowingly baited me in for an appointment, with foreknowledge that they could not give a steroid shot to a toe. They scheduled or rather refereed ne to a specialist who will contact me for a later date at their facility. All this after I asked them upon scheduling this farcical appoint.
Reception staff, nursing staff, care providers all are professional, friendly, clever and courteous. Highly recommend
Very nice place.
I took my husband here the other night for chest pains they brought him right in and started blood work and X-rays right then the friendliness nurses ever we have been to a lot of hospitals but this one was awesome can’t write enough about this place they get a 5 star and more thank me for all yalls help keep up the great work
We are so blessed to have a hospital in our town. Salina Regional is very busy 24/7. When my husband recently had a heart attack, many of the tests he needed were done at AMH before we were sent to Salina Regional. The ER in Salina was backed up, and one doctor said she was glad we had tests done at AMH because we would have had to wait hours to have the tests and scans done there. Thanks so much AMH!
Terrible place
I have always been treated well by memorial hospital and Heartland health care from the receptionists to nurses and Dr's.
This place is a revolting excuse for a hospital. If you are suffering GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Horrible and very rude nursing staff in the ER.
I had a fantastic experience! My wife and I had an immediate concern and I called in to make an appointment. The appointment was within a couple of hours. Once I arrived, I was never even able to sit down and wait, even though I was 15 minutes early. They called me back immediately to meet with the doctor. The doctor came in soon after and after the examination, laid out a couple options and allowed me to choose which option I felt would be most appropriate. Additionally, they scheduled me for tests, which I went straight in and had completed. My entire visit was handled perfectly! I even received an immediate call once the results were completed, within about 14 hours. The total visit only took about 45 minutes and I appreciate the level of care that allowed my wife and I not to needlessly worry while waiting for an appointment or test result. I would highly recommend Memorial Health and the Heartland Clinic!
Rose unit is worthless. Took 2 weeks to get my family member to the EXACT SAME state that he was in when we admitted them! All they did was drug em and ignore em. They drugged em to where theyd sleep all day. They don't help feed any of the patients if they need help to eat. They just want everyone to shut up and or sleep. Don't spend your money or time here!
Avoid this hospital at all cost, worse care and they charge out the wazoo for subpar treatment. I'll travel to junction, salina or Manhattan before I ever step foot back in here again. Oh and if you dont pay within a few months of care expect the sheriff's to serve you paperwork.
Rude nurse. Dr couldn't have cared less. I would give -5 stars! NEVER AGAIN.
