People aren't nice. It literally was the worst experience ever so much drama and gossip. When you seek help about something they are rude and disrespectful. My second week I was bullied and harassed and asked for help about it and got suspended for no reason, when I say no reason that's the truth. So best of luck.
I would like to recognize ALI, a nurse at northwest medical. She is outstanding at what she does and goes above And beyond. She has a great sense of humor. Any future visits I will always request for her . She made our stay so much better !! Keep up your awesome work ALI!

Here for an outpatient procedure @ the medical building. So far have been waiting for an hour in the waiting room. It's nerve wracking enough without any one coming and talking to you to tell you something. Then a rude nurse comes out and gets a Spanish speaking woman and said loud and rudely, "you speak English? I need someone who speaks English."
This hospital takes exceptional care of it's patients and has an amazing team all around.
Great place!Staff is so friendly and committed to their profession. Thank you for always taking care of our community NW-Health!!!
I've had a couple of procedures here as well as wound care in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber at the Wound Center. The staff is caring and go out of their way to make sure you have the information you need.
Ok, yes, I work at this hospital, for about 15 years, but to me, giving it a good review is even more significant---I have been behind the scenes a lot, and have a critical eye. But every encounter I've had with the Emergency Department has been impressive. A few months ago I broke my wrist and came in early on a Sunday morning. I got first rate treatment; they made me feel like the only patient. Then, last week my elderly mother had a fall and we took her in to get checked out. Another great job by the ED staff. Despite all the patients, the urgency and pressure of the ED, the staff is so friendly and professional. The Department Director has chosen her staff well! I'm proud to be a part of this hospital.
This is the worse medical center I have ever been associated with. My son have a semi-serious car accident and he was taken to this hospital. The ambulance just took him there, so I had no say in it. First, let me say that I beat the ambulance to the hospital by 10 minutes even though I left several minutes after them. They charged by the mile so they probably had to circle the block a few times to build up the mileage. They also made my son crawl into the ambulance. No joke... Now, I am not sure the ambulance service was connected to he hospital, but it was not good either. My son went to the ER, and he was only only there about 2 hours. They seemed in a rush to run a bunch of test then get him out, even though there was hardly anyone at this hospital. In Fact the only other patient I saw was the person my son hit. I was surprised how fast they kind of pushed us out with no real help for my injured son. He was banged up pretty, but no major injuries. Once I go him home I realized he had major seat belt burns for his head-on crash. There were three bloody wounds on his body, because a layer of skin had been removed. You would think that the Hospital have put something on this and maybe throw on some gauze and peroxide on it, but no that probably was not a big dollar item for them. Nothing like a few untreated open wounds in hospital to give you a fun infection. Now the costs. My insurance company sent me a bill stating that the bill for his care was over $27k!! Besides a few tests and an IV they did hardly any treatment. He was there less than 2 hours. This is the most outrageous bill I have ever seen. Anyway, since then I was waiting to finally get my portion of the bill from this horrible hospital, when I got a notice they were threatening a lean on my property if I did not pay the bill. The bill I did not receive and this was less than six weeks from the event. The letter was very strange, because it said it was coming from Professional Account Services out of Tennessee. They also said they filed the claim with my County Clerk. I tried several times to speak to a person on for this company, but I could never reach a human. It just seemed shady. That being said, they had all the info from the hospital, so if they are shady the the hospital released my info in some way. If they are being used by the hospital then that is really bad conduct. I then tried to reach the someone in Northwest Medical Center Bentonville, but I only reached a live person once and they just send me to another dead end. Mind you, I was trying to reach anyone in this hospital mid-day on a non-holiday Friday. I am just stunned how bad this experience was, and I still do not know how to resolve this billing issue without a bill. DO NOT USE THIS HOSPITAL unless you want bad treatment or a ridiculous bill. Go to Mercy hospital or anyone else.
Unable to get test results. It's been over 3 months since I had a CT scan. After multiple phone calls and medical release forms being submitted, I still haven't received these results. The place appears to be incompetent.
I am fixing to have some major surgery and this will happen at the Northwest Medical Center - Bentonville, that being said, I had to go for pre-op registration and was blown away with the kindness and service I received! First, once I had parked, I found they have a shuttle to take you to the correct location/door for you to get started. These shuttles are run by volunteers and the kind lady that piloted my shuttle, welcomed me and gave me great directions to where I needed to go. Once inside the main entrance, I encountered two more volunteers who again welcomed me and directed me to where I needed to go to sign in. Immediately it was noticed that the entire area was very clean, bright and very well cared for, a huge plus for a Medical Center in my book. Well I went down a hall and you guessed it, met another volunteer that signed me in and let the admission staff know that I was there. The fact that so many volunteers were picking up patients, giving directions and helping an otherwise lost individual with the kindness and courtesy often lacking in some other facilities that I have had to go, gave me a sense that hey, this place really cares about their patients! I wasn't wrong and it extended to the admissions staff as well! Everyone went above and beyond to ensure every question was answered, every step I took was in heading to the correct location and that I was able to find and accomplish what I was there to do!I walked to the cafeteria, surgical waiting room and down a few hallways and this place rocked clean!! Everyone I met in the hallway took time to stop and ask if I needed help in any way and if directions were needed. These folks were nurses, doctors, other staff and those awesome volunteers that were everywhere! Pat, Joan, Betty, Bill, John and others that I couldn't get all the names of, all ensured that I was taken care of. I asked how they enjoyed volunteering at the facility and everyone stated that it was a pleasure to met and greet so many people and to do their small part to ensure that the patient was well taken care of.I have reviewed many places and have been reading other reviews just to get a feel of the places I either visit out of necessity or just for fun, Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville was just amazing and it was all due to the people that cared! I spent over five hours speaking with different people in several specialties and getting a feel for how I would be treated and taken care of, after my visit today, I know I will be in great hands.I am not stating that every experience will be as smooth as mine was, situations happen and they must be brought up then and there to get results, but my experience was very pleasant and largely due to the people that give of themselves, their time, either paid or volunteers, to ensure that the patients experience is as stress free as possible. No one looks forward to surgery, but since speaking with these amazing people and visiting with several of the areas that I will be in, I feel perfectly content that the care I will receive will be the best possible. I also want to thank everyone for their time and the care they showed, not knowing my situation, I was treated just as they treat everyone, respectfully, courteously and with dignity! I especially want to thank BETH, who even though was busy herself, took the time to follow up with me at every turn during my admission processes. A lot of amazing people that do their very best in a clean and bright environment to provide the best of care possible! Thank you everyone and I will see you all soon!
I recently had knee replacement surgery at Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville. As a medical professional (not associated with Northwest Medical Center) I am not always easy to please but the experience at Northwest Medical Center was excellent. From the receptionist, to the preop area, to the surgery personnel, nursing staff, and physical therapy - all were friendly, professional, caring, and helpful. Procedures were performed with skill. The surgery and recovery have gone beautifully and I am grateful for the care and help that I received at Northwest Medical Center.
The staff are nice but not able to solve problems leaving a patient to figure out what to do. Most disgusting was the number of employees who walk out the front door to light up a cigarette but the parking lot and sidewalks are covered in butts. Nasty filthy and inappropriate.
Best service we have ever got at a Medical Center. Clean and helpfull!!Bentonville!
had nine good days with the best nurse ever..thanks RACHEL,and one horrific day with a clueless group
Dr Sheehan (I hope i got the name right) provided excellent care to me today. NW arkansas is lucky to have him! He knew to ultrasound my eye when doctors in springdale ER and Washington Regional ER did not know to do this. I have been having an eye problem all week and his kind, thorough, knowledgable care helped me trendously. He also showed me the screenshot and pointed out the areas of concern. Very good care! Nurses were also excellent. Hats off to the staff at NW ER in Bentonville!
I really give this hospital a ZERO.I went into NWA Medical in November 2012 for an outpatient procedure and got home 44 days later. The Gastroenterologist, who was supposed to open my common bile duct, which was not patent (open), nicked my intestines in two places. I was kept in the hospital, so I feel staff knew about this, yet I had to lay there all weekend until I was taken to surgery on Monday. I had developed sepsis by that time, had raging fevers, had to have multiple CT scans for placement of drains into my abdomen to areas where the bacteria had walled off areas in several places. I had a central vein access, which the nursing staff allowed to clot, because of lack of knowledge of how to use it and, therefore it had to be removed and a PICC line had to inserted, while I was awake, so I could get intervenous nutrition (I couldn't eat). I could go on and on, but to make a long story short, I almost died and will never be the same. I suffer with post sepsis syndrome and will the rest of my life. An explanation of this condition can be found on the net. But, I was fortunate to live - many do not survive. If not for the fact I have two daughters who are R.N.s , I would not be here. They were able to come from their homes (Dallas and New Orleans) in staggered "shifts" so one could be with me most of the time. A niece who lives in Tulsa, who is also a registered nurse, was able to be with me at times. Unfortunately, I could not find an attorney to take the case. They knew that a new mother, who had to have an emergency C section, was dropped flat on her back during transfer fromthe surgical table to the gurney and the jury found the hospital not responsible. Apparently in Arkansas, people worship quacks and seldom find for the patient.I'm sure Mandee C. is correct in her appraisal of what happened to her grandmother.Florence S.Prairie Creek
