This is based on one visit, so take it for what you will.... I found Dr. Gruss to be extremely professional, capable and nice. She was a good listener, diagnosed my condition quickly, and there was only a minimal wait after I arrived at her office. (The wait to schedule an initial appointment was far too long, but it's like that everywhere. Not sure who to blame for that. Health insurance companies?) She's clearly intelligent and very good at what she's doing. I don't really understand the negative reviews except to note that she isn't gushy or fake hyper friendly. Thank goodness!
I saw Dr Gruss 20 + years ago and was put off by her bedside manner, so I found another Dr. Recently decided to give her another try as she accepts my insurance, but am even more dissatisfied this go around. Spoke to me for 5 mins (sitting at her computer and making no eye contact). Examined me for 5 mins after which I have been unable to speak with her directly to find out the results of my tests (I have had 6 UTIs in the past 4 months). I was then handed over to the nurse practitioners who are extremely obstreperous and will not let you talk to the Dr. They prescribed one antibiotic for a week, which turned out to be incorrect for the bacteria and then prescribed 3 days of another antibiotic and when I asked for more than 3 days (because after having this infection for 6 months I wanted to make certain to treat it properly), they refused to give it to me. I would never go to this doctor again and hope this helps in warning other people from wasting their time and money for less than substandard care.

My experience wasn't horrible. She answered all of my questions, did her job well but was a bit dismissive and didn't seem to care about building rapport/learning about my history.
