Dr Reeves and the entire staff are always on their game.
Very disappointed. I was told by receptionist that because you have pay $250 cash because we dont take the type of hmo insurance i have and for therapy you have to pay $75 per visit . After seeing the dr they say i cannot even pay cash for my therapy because i have hmo insurance. So i wasted $250 for nothing since i cant do therapy with them. Should told me this before. Very very disappointed.
Everyone here seems like they hate to work here. Had the worst experience ever. Had to ask several times for water and even go to the restroom. Nurses in day shift are nice, but literally like a prison at night. The doctors are arrogant and you don’t want to stay here.
Dr. Patel is practicing a form of profiling and discrimination against those that were injured through or in support of our US military. My husband supported military operations in Afghanistan for 6 years only to come home with combat PTSD and a traumatic brain injury. He is not eligible for VA benefits. My husband has seen Dr. Patel several times and has had a number of scans and tests through Spine Team, as well as several surgeries unrelated to his spine, without incident. The only concession he asked is to not surprise him with an unexpected touch and speak to him first - a reasonable accommodation we thought. Then when he went to schedule a new test we were told that they "were not equipped to handle patients like him" and would have to refer him out. What?? A patient that has a strong history of demonstrating he is coping, and coping well with combat PTSD is not worth their trouble? I am outraged on my husband's behalf that he can sustain an injury in a war zone and then can be stigmatized and denied needed healthcare. I just wish I could give Dr. Patel and the rest of SpineTeam less than 1 star to equal the exact amount of care my husband received from them!
Great caring people
Awesome
I have been using Spine Team for several years now and I love the Doctors and staff. They are always courteous and helpful. They include me in my treatment options and respect my wishes. Dwayne Collins is who I see the most and he knows my history and what I need. Dr. Garcia does my injections and does a great job. I always get in and out quickly and the front desk staff are great.I would definitely recommend Spine Team to anyone with neck or back issues.
I was referred to Spine Team by my PCP. I have had horrible debilitating headaches and neck pain for several months, and I saw Dr. Darnule.I was asked to do a survey on a tablet before he even entered the room about “depression and anxiety”. I couldn’t figure out what the heck this had to do with my pain but I filled it out according to my level of pain and how many days a week on average I was having constant pain. Some of the questions were like “I feel blue...” or “I feel suicidal...” and then multiple choice answers although I don’t think “never” was even an option! Then he entered the room, briefly did some feeling on my neck and reflexes and went on to discuss my MRI. He kept telling me “it could be this, but you don’t have this...” and then ended up saying “your symptoms aren’t matching up.” 😳 I’m sorry??? I couldn’t figure out if he was trying to accuse me of lying or being a medication seeker. He wanted to refer me to a pain psychiatrist and to do PT which I had already been doing and still had a month of pre scheduled appointments.I left in tears, and felt like i was crazy, like I was made out to be a junkie who only wanted hydrocodone (made the mistake of being HONEST and saying out of the 3 meds I had been given so far that was the only one that worked). What I was looking for was a Dr. to help me figure out why I’m having these horrible headaches and nauseating neck pain. I called my PCP in the parking lot and saw her the next day and was referred to another doctor(who is AMAZING and helping me) who looked at my MRI and saw 3-4 reasons why I was in pain!!!I don’t like leaving negative reviews, and This is actually the only one I’ve ever left. I will say that am a 38 yo female, I have a sleeve tattoo and a nose ring😑 But I am by no means trashy looking, Not sure if I was singled out for those reasons or what the deal was. I just know my PCP said it sounded like he had his mind made up before he even came into the room.
I left another large spine center and luckily found The Spine Team.Dr. Patel, my family and I truly appreciate you giving me back my quality of life. Dr. Gayle P.A., thank you for helping me through these trying times, I truly appreciate your sincerity and your help. If you are looking for great doctors and a Team(just as the name says) you found them. Thank you to the entire staff at the Spine Team(including billing) for giving me top-notch service. I sincerely appreciate how I was treated as a part of your family and not just another patient. Listen, if you want a team to be involved in your care and not just a doctor, then The Spine Team Texas is the best in the business. Thank you, Thank You,Thank You!!!Btw: Dr. Patel I need one of those jackets you were wearing before my surgery...😃
In October 2020 I had the fortunate/unfortunate :) opportunity to meet with Dr. David Rothbart and his team. I had been experiencing chronic back pain and numbness in both legs since the Summer, and after conservative treatment (Accupuncture, NSAIDs, and PT) didn't work for me I had an MRI which confirmed issues at L4-L5. I met with two Neurosurgeons who both confirmed my diagnosis, and shared with me an injection would not help my situation and surgery was the best option. With my back pain and numbness at a ~7-8 level I had to give surgery serious consideration. After meeting with Dr. Rothbart I agreed to have surgery (Fusion L-4-L5). Though nervous I was committed to getting "fixed" and moving forward. He explained in detail the technique he would use to address my problem (OLIF- Oblique Lumbar Interbody Fusion). I had never heard the term OLIF before, but he told me it was the best approach for my condition, and one that would give me the best chance of a good recovery. Having been in the Medical Device industry (sales) for 30 years I was curious to learn about the OLIF surgery. Google/Youtube provided many opportunities to view this surgical technique. If you don't like seeing someone get operated on there are several animated versions to view. This isn't for everyone, but given this was the biggest surgery to date I have ever had I wanted to know everything. I was told pain would be present for a few days, but a good chance I would be off the hard stuff within a week. Fast forward a week and I had surgery on a Thursday morning. The operation took 3-4 hours, and that afternoon I was awake/alert and slowly walking laps around the hospital floor. I will not lie about the pain.... though I had meds it was pretty tough the first few days, but on day 4 I stopped all the prescription meds and remained on Regular Tylenol for 3 more days. After day six I was off all pain meds. I know all surgeries are not the same, but this was my experience. I only spent one night in the hospital, and was happily at home on the afternoon the day after surgery. Yes, it was a little tough getting around the house, and I would recommend a walker for the first 2-3 days...longer if needed. After a week at home I was walking 1/2 mile / day and it got better each week. Fast forward 3 months-- Doing great and back in the gym riding the stationary bike and walking on the treadmill. Zero pain, and looking forward to riding my bike next month when the weather improves. I have my final visit in May (6 mos), and I hope to be back at all previous activities at that time. I highly encourage PT which I give much credit to for helping with my rapid improvement. Thus my rating for Dr. Rothbart and his team is a 5+! In Summary... I know every patient is different (age, fitness, etc), and recovery is likewise different. I just wanted to share my story as I could find very few articles on patients who had positive experiences with Lumbar fusion surgery. I'm fortunate to be doing well, and wanted to share there are positive experiences out there. JLT
I would give this facility a zero rating if possible. I am extremely disappointed in this office. I would not expect this lack of service and lack of professionalism here. They are not interested in helping new patients. They kept stating there are "government regulations affecting us being able to take new patients and pain management patients." Neither the front desk lady nor the office manager could explain to me just what those "regulations" were. Don't tell people there are regulations affecting patient care and not be able to verbalize what they are!! I was told I would be put on a phone list and they would call me back. They never called me back....Please do NOT waste your time or your money with this office. There are plenty of other surgeons in this area that want to actually help people!!
Everyone there is extremely nice. And so far my pain has subsided substantially. I would recommend giving them a chance.
Dr. Bauerfeind and his staff should be avoided at all cost. More interested in telling me I was wrong about the source of my pain and proving to me how smart he was than treating me as a human being. The staff is slow to respond and not useful when they do. He disagreed with all of my other specialist. I grew to trust them and disagree with him due to the time that they spent with me that he did not. I wouldn’t recommend him or his staff to my worst enemy.
Dr. Rothbart and his team have been a true blessing to my life. I am forever grateful. The ADCF surgery fixed me . Electrical pain gone !! I also got my natural walking gait back !! Dr. Rothbart is a master in his field. Truly my hero.RespectfullyPaula D LongBrownwood, Texas
Spine Team Texas is the best in the business! From the front desk, to the Doctors and everyone in between I felt like a valued patient. I was not pushed into anything I was not comfortable with and they actually listen to you. The physical therapy was top notch as well.
Dr. Tran was great, She examined me, diagnosised me gave me lots of options and meds. Most of all she got me out of pain and gave me HOPE! I love her!!! Ladies in front office were super nice helpful and down to earth!
Dr. Rothbart has absolutely no sensitivity or empathy for his patients. He is cold, arrogant (even by neurosurgeon standards) unpersonable, abrasive, and in my personal experience, levels of unethical. I genuinely don't think he even cares about the person at all being treated, rather just the clinical profile of "what" he's treating. I wouldn't recommend anyone seeking his care.
It is a fine place for people like me with chronic lower back pain. They take care of me well.
Therapist is wonderful to work with and got to the root of my problems.
I've been a patient here for 13 years and without hesitation recommend this practice as a whole for you back needs. They literally saved my mobility and quality of life with the first visit, and since then have worked with me, at my comfort level of intervention, to manage my health long term. The front desk, schedulers, X-Ray Tech, nurses and Docs are all top notch.
