I had a colonoscopy at this facility two days ago. This was my first time ever having one and I came in to the office already in severe pain having to do my prep with 104 fever the night before. I showed up early for my appointment, filled out my forms, return them to the girl with the long dark hair at the front desk, and then went back to my seat and waited to be called back. After sometime, I was finally called to the back. I got changed, got into the hospital bed, and the nurse was very nice. She took my temperature which was 102°. I was so dehydrated and ask if I may get a lozenge and she said no she was sorry that they weren’t able to give me anything, I said ok. And then the anesthesiologist came in. She came in and introduced herself pleasantly, and then when I asked her (with a tiny bit of saliva I had left in my mouth) if there was anything I can do it because I have a fever and I could barely talk. She told me “NO, YOU DRANK WATER” I said no I haven’t had any water. She said “no!” looked me dead in my eye “I know you had water in the lobby, the girls at the front desk told me!” I said no, that’s a lie. I didn’t have any water. I didn’t even bring any water with me in my car or in the lobby, nor do they offer water in the lobby. She insisted to continue to call me a liar (without calling me a liar), while I am laying there in so much pain, dehydrated with a fever, going in for probably one of the most uncomfortable procedures I’ve ever had. (the procedure itself was fine, I really don’t remember it) They made me wait an entire extra hour in that room (and almost canceled my procedure, completely-that I had to prep for being the sickest I’ve ever been in MY LIFE) because of the LIES told about me, they didn’t believe me, she NEVER even ASKED me if I drank water… she TOLD me I did. Never once was I asked, besides on the form that I filled out that I gave to the girl at the front desk. Conclusion: I worked in medical offices including surgery centers for 10+ years. I know the importance of following directions given for procedures. I know how important policies are. I AM NOT AN IDIOT! I would never blatantly break a rule, especially in front of the staff. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had dealing with a medical situation, which is unfortunate, because there was some really nice people that I felt were genuine (my pre-op nurse was amazing) that help me that day, but all it takes is ONE person to ruin or sabotage a great team. I know this fact to be true from working in medical. The girls at the front desk and that anesthesiologist needs some Ethics training ASAP or maybe they need girls at the front desk with better eyesight. If you took the time to read this, thank you and just be warned, I don’t want this experience to happen to anyone else. It was very traumatic and demeaning to me and could’ve been handled with respect and professionalism but, it wasn’t.
I had the BEST experience at Alaska Digestive Center. The very friendly staff and superb RN's took great care of me and were so friendly. I was anxious going into the procedure and left happy as a clam. I am so thankful for the staff and nurses here that care about the patients! Shout out to Robert the great RN who went above and beyond to make it a comfortable experience. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
Super friendly staff and very professional. They could not have done a better job with my colonoscopy procedure. Highly recommend.
So I spend 1 hour getting my prep for a procedure do not eat anything the day before, drink half the gallon prep the night before and the morning of, get there on time after getting horrible sleep due to the prep. And they turn me away for no mask! And the irony is that I am there because wearing the mask is one of the things that makes me ill. I think Dr Sweeney and the staff at ADC take a hypocritical Oath instead of th real oath they should take.
Great experience provided during a screening.
Where do I begin?? I've have multiple procedures done here without any issues. That is until my last procedure with, Dr. Michelle Randolph in December 2019. When I went in for my followup appointment, a month after the procedure, she told me that ADC lost the biopsies they sent to the lab for testing. The next day I called the Alaska Digestive Center and they informed me that the biopsies were never lost and there was also a pathology report after all. Come to find out Dr. Randolph didn't collect the correct amount of tissue, so the lab wasn't able to test it correctly. My biggest pet peeve is lying and, Michelle lied to my face. Why would my Dr, whom I trusted LIE about something so important? Not only did it take me a month to schedule the appointment, another month for the procedure to take place, 3 months later I received NO results. She also called me into her office just to tell me they lost the lost biopsies. I find it pathetic when people, don't take responsibility for their actions. What pissed me off even more is Michelle acted as if non of this was a big deal. I waited THREE MONTHS for some sort of results and all I go was LIES. Do NOT waste your money, health, or time. DONE
Dr. Randolph, nurses and office staff are GREAT. Who wouldn't want them for your digestive check ups or problems. Very professional. Thank you for everything. :)
I had an endoscopy done and was extremely happy with the facility, Dr. Randolph, and the procedure. Great place.
I was so pleased with my experience from the entire staff at Alaska Digestive Center!!! Dr. McClendon came highly recommended and I wasn't disappointed. The front desk receptionist, all of the nurses and technicians were so kind and attentive. I was extremely nervous and they were so calming and caring, it was absolutely wonderful. They took my concerns very seriously were very genuine throughout. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and will definitely be doing so!!
I was happy with the staff and my experience here. I felt I was treated with respect and kindness, the procedure was explained well, and I felt no pain during to afterwards. Many thanks to the people here for the care I received.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
