They reschedule appointments without notice, but don't change it in the system, so I leave work early to get there for the new appointment time only to be told it's actually still at the later time. I didnt need to leave work.
Ridiculously long waits at the ER. Oftentimes, patients walk out in frustration without ever seeing a provider.
Empaneled here, great team
Tell me why I have had to ask numerous times for well over a year now to have my insurance from a prior job removed from my file. Tell me why BCBS FEP was getting billed AFTER I informed the hospital that I had to leave that job due to my physical health? Why when I went to update my address was BCBS FEP still listed as an insurance for me and now your staff is saying that my CIB is missing from my file? Your billing department is fraudulent as all get out, trying to get anything surgical scheduled is a nightmare, when I asked to make a formal complaint against PA Bidwell for neglect and lying on my record y'all sent an empty envelope, the list of disgusting things I have witnessed firsthand in the last few years have killed any faith I once had in this hospital. This isn't a facility that cares about you being healthy whatsoever, they just wanna take money in any way they can while their providers let you live in misery. If you can go elsewhere, DO IT.
Not a typical review. Not about medicine. This place should have museum mark or keyword. They have absolutely amazing small exhibition of cultural native Ametican items. 5 floors stairs filled with nice artworks, dolls, artisanal pieces. And very nice small non-profit craft shop on the 1st Mountain floor (to the right from the main non-emergency entrance. Beautiful hand-made artworks, jewerly, fur clothes, etc. Silver earrings - $70-100, bone earrings $40-50, post cards $2. And many others. CASH ONLY!
If you can go anywhere else but here do it. The receptionists are extremely rude, unhelpful, inexperienced and unorganized in the most unprofessional ways. Just today I had 4 dental receptions actively laugh, point, and mock me for asking for a work note which took 3 separate times because of the unprofessional, unnecessary, and sarcastic details they decided to include, It takes MONTHS to get a simple appointment with no reminder or conformation texts to calls, and if they do, they don't give adequate information. If you have the misfortune of having an appointment with them arrive at least 30 minutes early to deal with their disorganization.
both my kids passed away theyre and instead of taking accountability they look for reasons to blame me and test me without knowing and taking test without letting me know and entering my personal information and lying about it and being stalked and harassed and the doctor that was my daughter's doctor knowing he wasn't supposed to be looking down her pants when we had already discussed that there were no further concerns and being treated Disrespectfully when im not going to put up with people digging in my files and breaking HIPPA after everything thats happened in my life- I am perfectly sane and capable and tired of the abuse and pathological lying and manipulation the gaslighting and the Mind Games is not okay I already put up with this in my family when they're fighting over wills and wanting people to look crazy when they're part of the abuse and why I'm even going through counseling to begin with so look at their addictions and their manipulation when it comes to behavioral issues that is very narcissistic and unprofessional
Thank you too the Native Hospital team! Everytime me an my family come in people are sooooooo kind an understanding ! Big thank you soooo much !
Unethical Practices, Missing Documentation, and Access Barriers That Create Life‑Threatening Risk I am a customer‑owner, and I should not have to leave a 1‑star review for one of the world’s top trauma centers. I am doing so because ANMC removed all public Google reviews for their ANMC CARDIOLOGY department after repeated reports of unethical practice. Transparency is a core patient right, and removing reviews does not remove the underlying failures. ANMC publicly affirms Patient Rights and Responsibilities, including the right to safe, respectful, and well‑documented care. My experience with ANMC CARDIOLOGY did not meet those standards. A facility with this level of reputation should not have basic documentation failures, access barriers, or staff conduct issues that place patient safety at risk. Excellence in trauma care does not excuse systemic failures in specialty departments that undermine continuity of care. This review pertains specifically to the ANMC CARDIOLOGY department’s afternoon staff and to a former ANMC‑employed cardiologist whose conduct contributed to the documentation gaps and access barriers described. It does not reflect the many ANMC departments and frontline staff who consistently provide excellent, professional care. I received excellent care from the ER staff in December 2024. They ran appropriate tests, stabilized me, and adjusted my medications. I was hospitalized for four days and received 5-star treatment from the hospital staff. However, none of the CARDIOLOGY tests, findings or catheterization surgury from that hospitalization were documented in my chart, and I was discharged without a diagnosis. At my follow‑up in February 2025, Dr. Hardinger Gill at ANMC CARDIOLOGY raised his voice at me and told me there was nothing wrong with my heart. He refused to explain my results to me or to my nurse. He referenced “over 700 anomalies” on my heart monitor but dismissed them without explanation. Because of this, I sought a second opinion at Matsu Heart. Matsu Heart discovered that ANMC CARDIOLOGY had not documented any of the testing or findings from my ER visit and hospitalization. My cardiology chart was empty. Matsu Heart had to rebuild my entire record from scratch. They diagnosed me with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM). My heart is enlarged and scarred, and I require either surgical intervention or Camzyos treatment. Yesterday, I ran out of my prescribed heart medication. My regular provider cannot refill it because only a cardiologist can prescribe metoprolol. When I called ANMC CARDIOLOGY, I was told I was “due for a visit,” even though I am actively followed by Matsu Heart and Alaska Heart. The scheduler became hostile when my chart did not reflect the outside records that were uploaded in 2025. She argued with me, dumbsplained policy I already knew beforehand, crashed out, YELLED at me to 'calm down' and 'be respectful' and threatened to abruptedly end the call. After that, I attempted to call back multiple times, hoping to pass a message on to a nurse case manager to look through my chart. No one answered. The hold music was turned off, and I was left on a silent line without anyone returning. I was unable to reach any staff member. This left me without medication, without documentation, and without functional access to cardiology care, despite having an established diagnosis and ongoing treatment needs. It is unfortunate that this review places exceptional ANMC employees in a negative light, but the systemic failures I experienced were driven by the conduct of one dysregulated phone scheduler and a former cardiologist. Their actions created documentation gaps and access barriers that affected my safety as a customer‑owner. The only reason I ultimately received medication was because an exceptional ANMC pharmacist used an emergency override — a policy designed to compensate for systemic barriers in specialty departments. This is not evidence of a well‑functioning system; it is evidence of staff having to work around prevalent systemic failures.
If you plan on having a baby here, BEWARE! They try to force shots and tests on your baby. They tell you your baby is going to die, especially regarding the Vitamin K shot. This is ABSOLUTELY FALSE information! They say if you leave before 24 hours they will file a CPS report, even if you had ZERO complications, baby is doing great, eating, pooping, peeing,, looking at you. DO NOT LET THEM intimidate you one bit! Anything between you and your baby is between you and your pediatrician. PLEASE know what you're getting into before even THINKING about before giving birth in this hospital!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
