Dr Rai took care and time explaining the procedure to me and I felt very confident that it would go well and it did. Afterwards he called me personally 3 times at home to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. I am doing very well. I would recommend Dr Rai.

Dr. Rai has a great bedside manner. He spent a lot of time with my wife and I before the procedure discussing options and risks and answering all of our questions thoroughly, at our level. He has never hurried me along. He is funny and puts me at ease. He is prompt for all appointments; I’ve never had to wait. I had a great outcome. Can’t recommend him highly enough!

My primary doctor recommended Dr. Rai almost 3 years ago when a tumor on my appendix was discovered during a routine CT scan. From the first office visit forward through surgery and my hospital stay at Providence, I felt very well cared for. I’d recommend Dr Rai to anyone who needs surgery.

Dr Rai is an exceptional doctor. In addition to being a very good surgeon, he has an excellent bed side manner. I am fortunate to have had him as my doctor prior to, during, and post surgery.

Dr. Rai is amazing! I had 3 previous inguinal hernia surgeries do to a failed original surgery 9 years ago. I developed another hernia on my left side. I searched for a specialist in the field and found Dr. Rai. Not only did he take the time to listen to my plight but he explained the method he uses to repair hernias, but also said he would look at the right side where I had continuous pain even after 9 years. He determined he could repair that as well because I had developed 3 on that side. So since my surgery in April, I am pain free and my right side is also pain free. He actually removed a piece of old mesh that caused me alot of pain. This man is a blessing to me and I highly recommend him.

Dr Rai is more than just an exceptional surgeon. He helped my husband and I get through my initial diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer and my subsequent mastectomy. He worked closely with my oncologist (Dr Spencer) and radiation doctor (Dr Chung) to provide the best possible care. He was not only highly qualified as a surgeon,. but also a compassionate healer with a quick wit and gentle sense of humor. He always answered all our questions in a a straightforward manner. His treatment was warm and caring. He showed great compassion for our emotional needs as this was a very stressful time for our family. I was 41 years old with three young children (12, 10 and 7) and I knew what my prognosis was. I hoped I would live to see my children grow up. That was over 22 years ago! I have not only lived to see them married and successful, but I am watching my four grandchildren grow and thrive. My husband and I are retired and just celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary! I am so grateful for the care I received from this great team of which Dr Rai played such an integral part. Thank you Dr Rai!
