Carl Eli Rosen's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Carl E. Rosen performed 6 different major surgeries on my eyes, while my husband and our family were stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf/Richardson (JBER). Dr. Rosen was the absolute best eye surgeon I’ve ever had. We stayed in Alaska for 7 years, and Dr. Rosen took excellent care of my eyes, while we were there. The operations he performed on my eyes were, for one, I had early cataracts, so he performed Cataract Removal surgery on the Right (R) Eye, 2 months later, he performed Cataract Removal on the Left (L) Eye. Next he operated to (I don’t remember the medical name of the surgery), close the corners of my eyes because my eyeballs kept popping out of it’s socket when I was asleep. Dr. Rosen operated on the (R) Eye, then 2 months later, same surgery on the (L) Eye. Lastly, he operated, because I had Droopy Eye Syndrome… first on the (R) Eye, 2 months later, on the (L) Eye. He made my eyes look truly amazing. Dr. Rosen is an incredible doctor, and I hope you have as much confidence in his abilities as I did. Dr. Rosen, I really wish and hope you’d move back to the Lower 48’s. Preferably to the southern east coast, (Georgia), so you can become my Eye Physician again. Missing you!

I recently had eye surgery from Dr. Rosen I found him to be a outstanding surgeon and provider. He is by far the most attentive surgeon in Anchorage. My surgery went extremely well and I could not be more delighted. Why would anyone have surgery outside of Alaska when there is just a fine surgeon in Anchorage. Alaska is LUCKY to have him!

Great doctor. Fantastic surgeon. Don’t bother with these ratings. People either love him or not. If you need PROPER care, he’s the man!

I saw Dr. Rosen when a tumor was found behind my eye. He removed it and I followed up with him every year after. One year he check my eyes and said I had sleep apnea. Ends up I was later diagnosed with sleep apnea. Not only is he talented, he’s a very nice man.

Id like to thank Dr. Carl Rosen and his team. Im grateful for his thoroughness, efficiency and surgical skills in removing the mass behind my left eye. I felt numbness and tingling on the left side of my head and noticed my left eye didn't quite have the same motion as my right eye. My MRI and CT Scan showed I had a mass behind my left eye. I was directed to Dr. Rosen. He and his staff did an outstanding job removing the entire mass leaving a very little scar. Amazing! I felt great the after surgery with the pressure in my head being gone. Through my very difficult time I'm truly thankful for the level of health care I received. With unending gratitude, Hope Hill

Dr Rosen is not a careful surgeon, after 3 surgeries I am still suffering from his work, With reassurances that these were all steps to a better end. I am convinced he has not concern for the care of his patient It is clearly about the money. He is very undisciplined with his emotions, as well, should you discuss any matter not supported by him.

Dr. Rosen wanted to inject my eye with a steroid on a hunch. I declined and saw another neuro ophthalmologist in Seattle who told me if I had allowed that to happen I would has made my condition worse. I’m glad my instincts were better than Dr. Rosen.

Wow editing my review after 2 years. This guy is unethical and shouldn't be working in this field!! He went out of his way to deny me service because I have a lawsuit against a friend of his! Then he went and told my current eye doctor to deny me service! What a loser and a joke. I hope karma get you back real bad. Now you see how you 5 stars went down so much. I'm starting to see the front desk isn't rude. ITS DR.ROSEN that's the problem. the front desk will NOT help you, will not call back, will not give you a price of what it will cost to remove my eye. They want to be snobby and rude. Megan whom ever that is told me to find a new doctor over the phone after waiting a year and a half for an estimate. How do you plan on removing an eye with this horrible service and support behind you..

Dr Rosen left a piece of plastic in my eye it hurts, burns, itches, swells up and bruises, his office is very poorly run, he's only in this for the money, first do no harm is NOT A claim of his, his whole office is RUDE !!!!!! My eye is swollen bruised waters constantly hurts all the time don't let this guy touch you I am in CONSTANT PAIN

Dr Rosen is a kind, thoughtful and excellent eye physician. Thorough, competent and excellent bedside manner. He clearly states the nature of the procedure, risks and outcomes of such. He had an engaging and wonderful consideration for his patients. My experiences with his practice and staff have nothing less than the very best one could hope for. I would highly recommend the services this most excellent of physicians to anyone seeking the quality care that Dr. Rosen and his staff had to offer.
