Christopher Gay's Online Review Report Card

Says he helps people in pain and in need of help, but turns away paitents with legitimate patients with obvious and legit health issuses, 100/10 do not recommend.

Dr. Gay is kind and compassionate and he listens. I am on my 4th apt with him and have always been impressed with his bedside nature and his plans for action. Thank you for trying to help me be pain free, it means the world to my poor back!

I live in Fairbanks and was not a current patient of Dr. Gay's when he agreed to see me this past January. I have a herniated disk at the L5/S1 region that elevated into severe sciatica. After seeing various pain, neurological, and orthopedic doctors in Fairbanks, and all agreeing I needed an epidural steroid injection (ESI), not one would flex their schedule or work me in for the procedure for 1 to 3 weeks later. After being in the worst pain of my life for 3 weeks straight already, I knew I could not wait this long. I ended up in the ER when someone my husband knew recommended calling Dr.Gay's office as they had recently seen him for a similar issue. He agreed to see me the next day (which was his day off) to do the ESI procedure. He took the time to explain everything to me and never once did I feel rushed. After the procedure was complete I immediately felt relief, which continued to improve over the subsequent week. I wish more doctors shared his compassion and humble nature. Dr. Gay's staff went over and above to accommodate my emergent need, and I cannot thank the whole team enough.

Dr. Gay was a bright spot during a painful recovery. He and his staff were always patient, pleasant, courteous and very thorough. He helped me in my recovery immensely with suggestions and treatments that really made a difference. My appointments with him never seemed rushed and he didn't seem "bothered" by my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Gay.

I contacted Dr. Gay’s office because I was in a great deal of discomfort. Abigail was so accommodating and was able work work me into their Wasilla office in a couple of days. When I met with Dr. Gay and he did the examination he was able to determine what the issue was and we decided to go with a cortisone injection. He actually follows up with you and when he did, I explained about 60% improvement. He then said we could follow up with a second injection. Because I was leaving for the winter they made sure to fit me in before I left. Again, he followed up and I was pleased to tell him the 2nd injection did the trick! His entire staff is beyond amazing and caring! Thank you Dr.Gay, Abigail, Latasha and Eli!

Amazing, the front desk staff were kind and pleasant. The nurse was funny and really listened to make sure he understood how I was feeling and what I needed help with. Dr.Gay was professional but explained everything in simple plain terms so I didn’t feel overwhelmed or confused. I was able to get treatment on my first visit and my pain went away and stayed gone almost immediately. If you want someone who will listen to you and give you the best treatment possible you couldn’t find a better place.

Absolutely wonderful doctor and office staff. They truly care for you as a person. Very supportive, and I have even received direct calls from Dr. Gay to check on my progress and well-being in between appointments. I cannot recommend him enough.

I experienced severe back pain last summer and Dr Gay was able to provide alternate treatments to keep my pain minimal until I ultimately chose surgery. He is excellent at spinal injection and radio-frequency ablation.
