Dr. Ryneer is an exceptional human being. You won't find a better Orthopedic Surgeon in Anchorage. His staff couldn't be better either, so friendly and welcoming, they perfectly mirror his amazing attitude. I was bitten by my dog and he cleaned and sewed up my finger with short notice under the recommendation of my local clinic. I couldn't be happier. The severity of my injury had my doc shook up. Dr. Ryneer didn't even flinch. I was outa there in 30 min! Thanks Doc!

I had torn my acl during a hunting trip in 2020. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Rhyneer. Rhyneer’s P.A. evaluated my knee and sent for an mri. After the results of the mri showed a definite tear of the acl along with some other damage I was encouraged by my insurance to seek out of state surgery to best suit my needs. After deciding to have the surgery out of state I had another knee injury on the opposite knee. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Rhyneer. The soonest appointment was 3 weeks out. 1 week before the appointment I was contacted by Dr. Rhyneer staff and told that he was not willing to see me as a patient and suggested that I “ see my out of state orthopedic for any care I may need”. This in my opinion shows that Dr. Rhyneer is not interested in his patients needs or best interest. It clearly shows that he is only interested in making money from surgery’s. If he can’t cut on you he’s not interested in helping you. I’d would highly suggest seeking another orthopedic Dr.

Dr. Rhyneer did my knee surgery, clean-up and repair, years ago and that knee has been pain free ever since! I now see Jonathan for injections in the other knee while I wait for TKR next fall.

in 2001 i was in a horrific snowmachine accident at artic man. I was airlifted to fairbanks where they wanted to amputate my left leg due to the severity of my injury. I said no way! I was then put on a guardian flight to Anchroage where Dr.Rhyneer was called in to assess the injury... he didnt sugar coat it but said he would do his very best to save my leg. Here i am 20 years later still pluggin along leg and all. Dr. You were amazing 20 years ago i can only imagine what you've learned along the way! Don’t go here on work comp if you are active and athletic. They will go out of their way to throw you under the bus if they so much as suspect that you do resistance or weight training.
