I am so happy that I chose Dr. Searles to do my gastric sleeve! Excellent Dr. & his medical Asst. Anita is also the best! From day 1 of my very 1st visit to day of surgery and even now at 2 weeks out they have just been more then I vould ever ask for!!
Does not honor your decision I needed a backup surgeon incase my 8x10 mesh implant has issues later. The exam was so painful I’m sure his staff could hear me yelling out front and my surgery hurts FOUR DAYS LATER. I told him I did not want weight loss surgery he was trying to sell - so despite my very clearly saying that he continued to push it even after I had told him two horror stories I have seen with my own eyes. In fact he continued even after I was out of the exam room leaving. His ability to listen and honor your decision is non existent - DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR UNLESS YOU WANT WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY ONLY. It seems pretty stupid to get any elective surgery once an 8x10 mesh implant to sew my guts back into me has healed - that’s months on the couch. MONTHS. Never mind I qualify by only 4% BMI and am on blood thinners due to a genetic predisposition to blood clots which make avoiding surgery an outstanding idea. More of a salesman than someone who gives a darn about the person.

I had emergency surgery for my appendix and although I did not care for the inpatient staff or anesthesiologist, The ER staff were wonderful and Dr Searles was so patient with me after I was admitted and worked with me to get my anxiety under control so he could safely remove my appendix and the tumor within. I am not an easy patient especially when in crisis and I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. I was not allowed visits due to covid so being able to feel safe was so appreciated

Although I’m not a patient of Dr Grant Searles, my brother is. He had surgery Saturday morning and was advised to be done within 90 mins and should be able to go home the next day. After my brother has awaken from the surgery, Dr Grant Searles has never came back and check on my brother, as we the family couldn’t visit him due to covid is worry about him. All what we got told from the nurses was that “oh the doctor is busy”. I understand that due to covid and unstaffed doctors but since after the surgery you should still come back and make a 5 min time with your patient to make sure their okay. We all are busy with our lives, as much as you want to be done with all your patient and go home, so do we as patients. My overall complaint is make time with all your patient. My brother that was your patient didn’t feel cared for from you. You were the reason why he couldn’t go home and got stuck at the hospital bed after the surgery because you were too busy to discharge him from the hospital. Not cool doctor.
Dr Searles performed my RNY Surgery 5 years ago. Reached goal weight within a year & a half. Have maintained a 5 pound range & couldn’t be happier. Just wish I had met Dr Searles years before

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
