This is a wonderful company!! Total life saver !!
Horrible place to work they promised me 12 hour shifts and I got only two days and four hours throughout the whole day and I only worked one day. I can't pay rent working on 2/ half days. they say everything is so good. I'll give you this. I'll give you 12 hour shifts and then you apply for it and they hire you and then you're stuck with only two days of work and only four hours a day.
I am the blue text I have not worked for this company long but this was the worst company I have ever worked for. my first day orientation I was filling out paperwork and as I was filling out paperwork Cheri Backman Was talking to another caretaker December 28 at 11 AM in the same room Cheri was speaking with that caretaker explaining to him the neighborhood, he will be working in and how the place looked, and as she was explaining to him, she said it's people like us you know our color meaning " caucasian" and pointed to her skin. I ignored it when I shouldn't have but ever since I walked in the office the first day I could tell she was prejudiced last week January 19th I was placed in a home a live in my very first time that did not work out. I was being discriminated against by the clients wife and mistreated, and spoken to poorly I notified Cheri she then told me the clients wife is being a bitch because she lost faith in me because I did not hear the bell go off when the client pressed his button at night I apologize to the wife then the morning of Jan 20th she then proceeded to mistreat me nitpick at everything I do, and say off the wall shit to me so I ask Cheri to have someone come and replace me. I got out of that house by 3 PM so she assigns me to a different spot I was supposed to start. Jan 24 th but it is only a four hour shift when I got hired I made it clear I am looking for a full-time and I don't have a car. My transportation is Uber. She then tells me she has another girl that can do that shift. I said OK I think that would be best then she says It very disappointing you would give up 36 to 42 hour To have 0 hours Maybe you need to look for other work someplace else She then goes on and on trying to argue with me at 8:30 at night over text about me wanting more hours more than four hours, a day then she brings up the living job and continues to blow up my phone with screenshots of what the wife was saying about me now you think for someone who also has bills she would understand why I would want more than four hours a day when I made it clear in the beginning, I am looking for a full-time
This place was a total life saver for me! Reilly was incredibly flexible and kind. He remembered me every time I called and took all the stress and burden off me during my time of need. He was even pleasant when I called and woke him up at 6 AM!! John, my driver, was also very kind and made sure I had everything I needed. They both went above and beyond. I cannot express how impressed and grateful I am for them and how well they treated me. Five stars isn't enough!!!! Highly recommend and when I need assistance in the future I will not hesitate on hiring them again. Total God send. Thank you so much!!!!!!
Worst care giving agency we have ever encountered. Cheri only cares about money, period, not client needs. They overcharged my elderly, disabled father twice, allowed their employees to make their own hours & acted extremely unprofessionally when we brought this to their attention. Their "director of operations" Reilly Buck (the owners son, big surprise) is also ALL about the money and NOT client care or services. We had 3 different care givers in a 2 1/2 week span, 2 call outs, then they charged my dad to train their "field supervisor" Mike, while another care giver was also in the home attending to my dad. They are beyond unprofessional & shady. I wonder how many people they take advantage of on a daily basis by overcharging clients especially when the clients themselves are the ones needing extra care & assistance? Totally immoral to do in this industry and to people who need and are paying for help. I have no doubt that they charge the VA & Medicaid hours that they're employees do not even work & we will also be contacting the appropriate state departments with our complaints in the hopes no one else gets taken advantage of by this terrible care giving agency.
This is our second time of trying Home Care Assistance for care for our elderly, disabled father and they failed miserably a second time. It is day 14 of using Home Care Assistance again and care givers have called out 3 times AND my dad was overcharged TWICE (both of the 1st 2 invoices). One overcharge was for employee training and the other because their employee was clocking in early and continued to do even after we said that was not acceptable. They defitaly care about money but they DO NOT care about your loved ones. Nothing but stress and terrible customer service from this company. I recommend looking elsewhere if your are looking for help, they just cause more problems.
I have been in nursing care for 30 years. Most of my experience was in long term care facilities and hospitals. Since joining the home care team here at Home Care Assistance of Anchorage I’ve noticed that this company is all about client centered care. It’s very refreshing and they have so much understanding and compassion for their staff as well. I have recommended this company to many people and I’m glad to represent Home Care Assistance of Anchorage!
Home Care Assistance is one of the most professional companies of its kind. The staff are caring and genuinely cares for its clients and employees alike.
if i could i would leave no stars very unprofessional and rude. The supervisor Sherri was so unprofessional, my client had no wipes and had bad bedsores. Hospice told me to use wash cloths but i didn't want to make his sores any worse as i let my home manager know i was grabbing wipes myself they called Sherri and she instantly called and as Im explaining situation she is telling me it's hospice responsibility, and when i asked her well if hospice isn't doing it who is. She removed me from the home told me not to finish my shift and to go home, I had to let my clients know i couldn't stay and left in tears, I called and made a complaint to the HR and i don't feel like my feelings were understood and they just brushed me off I wasn't reassured of any forward action, one of the worst and most unprofessional companies and wouldn't recommend for your loved ones or employment
We started service with HCA three months ago and couldn’t be more satisfied. Reilly and the rest of the HCA team are professional, genuine and excellent communicators. Over the two and half years prior, we used the services of two other agencies; one could not provide adequate staffing due to Covid ( not their fault) and the other constantly lost employees and demonstrated very poor communication. HCA is a huge step up from the other agencies. The care my mother receives is amazing and reflects the care HCA puts into finding and training the right employees. Anyone seeking in-home care should seriously consider HCA.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
