List of Jayne Fortson Md's Reviews
She knows her stuff, diagnosed my psoriasis condition after a thorough analysis. She gave me a warm feeling and truly cares about her patients. Psoriasis skin symptoms are not fun to experience and we discussed a treatment plan that worked and it truly took away all my skin symptoms and flareups several years ago...I've had no symptom return since then! Moreover if I had any other skin issues I definitely would return to Jayne. I highly recommend you get an appointment with her direct.
Dr. Fortson is very knowledgeable, but when she won’t listen to me. Horrible bed side manner.
Dr. Fortson is very rude with zero bedside manner. She treats her patients and employees like complete trash. One of her nurses asked Dr. Fortson a question and in front of me and my husband totally belittled the nurse. Because of that I will never go to her again. Now I see why she always had different employees.
The front office staff were welcoming, kind, and efficient. I've been to quite a few dermatologists and feel Dr. Fortson is one of the best. She is the only one that gave me a very thorough check when I had a skin cancer scare, followed up on my progress, and answered all of my questions. I like that she is very professional and straight to the point. I also really appreciated her assistant staying longer with me to answer any more questions I had. The in house pharmacy is great! I didn't have to get a prescription and wait, it was available right there and then.
Dr. Fortson dismissed a suspect mole as nothing. I went to Dr. Janine Miller to get a second opinion. Immediately Dr. Miller biopsied the spot and it turned out as a Basal Cell Carcinoma. So glad I got the second opinion! I trust Dr. Miller to assess my skin health and find her straight-forward manner to be refreshing and professional.
I saw Dr Fortson a few years ago and was not impressed. I was kept waiting for over half an hour for my appointment. When I was taken in for my appointment the nurse took my vitals. After she left it took another 15 to 20 minutes for the Dr to come in. My appointment was very rushed. I had a bunch of questions I wanted to ask but didn't get a chance to ask them. I was in the room for no more than 15 min. I was still asking questions when she turned around and wheeled herself out which I thought was very rude. After my appointment was finished I was told that they don't bill your insurance company so I had to pay the entire bill myself and send it in to the insurance company myself. I gave one star because the staff was very pleasant.
If you get laser treatment, which you don't go in for, think first before signing anything and read the forms. You will have to pay for the treatments even if the first few have unwanted negative results. Make sure you have a clause for prorated services on the contract. Otherwise, they will change you for ones you didn't use, even if you couldn't use them because of reactions to the ones you did use. This office will talk you into stuff you didn't come in for. Anytime, that happens get an estimate and see someone else for a second opinion. Otherwise, you may have to pay out of pocket for something your insurance doesn't cover. Get full cost in writing of any services especially if over extended time. Call your insurance and see what is and what isn't covered. You will think this office would do this for you, but they don't.
I have suffered with plaque psoriasis for 15 years it is getting progressively worse. I have been doctoring with another dermatologist. Using topical creams. He suggested that I see Dr. Fortson. We discussed treatment options decided on light therapy and I had my first light therapy on the first day I saw her. I would definitely recommend her for her thoroughness and the ability to start right away.
Incredibly rude and uncaring. I went in to acne treatments tried to prescribe me an antibiotic which I declined because they'd made me ill before. Actually that was my fault for taking them improperly..uhhuh so a common aide effect is my fault. She then proceeded to tell how she could laser off my full back tattoo, it's a nice one not that it matters. Gave me a RX for something I can get over the counter. Go to Senter dermatology, they actually care and are up to date of best treatments.
Dr. Fortson was very helpful in responding to, and treating, my needs. I appreciate the work that she and her staff did to make me feel comfortable and cared for. They worked with me over a period of time, and were a significant help to my medical needs. I highly recommend her to you!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
