I was delighted to have him as my surgeon for an unexpected triple bypass. Besides doing a beautiful job, he was a wonderful human being, explaining everything to me so I was prepared for what was about to happen. I will forever be grateful to him. He also told me right away that this was a hereditary condition, which relieved me of some of my self-blame. I was very sad to learn that he had to leave the McKenzie-Willamette heart unit to be sent somewhere else even though he didn't want to go. I heard that he may be free of those encumbrances in a few years and hopes to return - I hope he does too!!!

I was a patient in 2008 and Dr. Armitage is the best ever. Saved my life. I have never heard one negative remark!! His skills and care are 100%. His personality, time spent with patients and his bedside manner are the best I have ever encountered. He takes great time with every patient and I wish he was still with us in Fredericksburg. He is missed and loved by so many. I hope he and his family are well and happy. He is so kind, careful, intelligent and very special.

Dr. Armitage is a true master of his craft. For the first time I knew and understood everything about why and what was going to happen. He took a lot of time just getting to know me as a person, and then talked me through the entire procedure. I had and still have total confidence in his judgement and ability. I hope to never have another quadruple by-pass again, but if I do, I pray he is still around.

Back in 2002 when Dr Armitage was in Fredericksburg VA he did a 5 bypass on my dad. He took the time to sit with the whole family (my parents have 8 kids) and explain everything to us in detail which made us feel so much more comfortable about the surgery. My dad was 62 and had never been sick a day in his life. He was up walking the halls less than 8 hours after his surgery. I fit wasn't for Dr Armitage we would have lost my dad then but thanks to him we had another almost 7 years left with him. He passed away in 2008 from compications from the flu shot. Hopefully Dr Armitage is seeing this and I just wanted to thank him for everything that he did for my dad. With love and thankfulness, The Hatchel Family

Dr. Armitage performed open heart surgery on me in 2002 . Surgery and recovery were PERFECT. Until today (1/21/18), I never felt any pain or discomfort. resting or doing any work, including digging, or planting. His extraordinary professional skills tell only 40% about him. He is an exceptional human being, with a very strong TOUCH OF LOVE, COMPASSION AND UNDERSTANDING. >> Calling him a great surgeon of the WORLD is an understatement. HE IS AN ANGEL WITH SURGICAL SKILLS. My family and I LOVE HIM

Four years ago Dr. Armitage operated on my husband and we have never had opportunity to thank him for saving Raymond's life. Want Dr. Armitage to know that thanks to him, Raymond and I were able to celebrate our 69th wedding anniversary August 2017 and are able to get in our RV and enjoy life. thank you Dr. Armitage. It is rare to find a physician who will sit down with you, the patient, and spend all the time you need to answer your questions and help you get comfortable with upcoming open heart surgery. Dr. Armitage is a very kind man and an extremely skilled surgeon!
