John Cates's Online Review Report Card

I have gone to Dr. J C Cates over 30 years he found problems the ER poofed twice. He is up he is interested the whole person. My husband goes to the doctor also and is very please. The flame wone star is not talking about the doctor I know.

Dr.Cates is awesome plain and simple. I read the the one star review and it prompted me to write this. I can’t believe someone would say that about him. Dr.Cates always listens to what I have to say and my thoughts on health issues then makes recommendations based on what he thinks. If you come to him with an issue he is always willing to get to the bottom of it and always thinks outside the box. He is one of the most observing and “behind the scenes thinking” doctors I’ve ever met.A perfect example is that I came in on my first appointment and was just going through some basic questions. Dr.Cates had seen me walking in and he asked “Do you have any lower back pain.” I replied “Yes but who doesn’t these days?” pretty much the same thing I had been telling my old doc for years Dr.Cates then asked me to stand up and after 10 seconds he was like “I think you have one leg a bit shorter than the other.” He asked if I’d like and xray to confirm and sure enough I did He gave me a little shim to put in my shoe and bam After probably 10 years of dealing with lower back pain a 15 dollar shim fixed it right up.As far as the one star review goes the guy mentioned how Dr.Cates wouldn’t give him meds unless he did the tests. What would you prefer a doc that just goes around prescribing random meds till you find something that works or a doc that ACTUALLY identifies the root problem and comes up with a plan to treat it?

Dr. Cates has been my family doctor for 20 years He is a Phenomenal doctor and great knowledge He wants to help us become healthy individuals without medicine if possible. He has a Great attitude and so does his staff Hes gone above and beyond even checks in on his days off.

Dr. Cates is great He listens has a very helpful attitude knows is stuff and is focused on prevention. I couldnt be happier with my experiences with him and his entire team.

The one star review is trying to slander Cates by saying stuff that is completely untrue. I’ve been going to Cates all my life and always come out with good results. Very excellent doctor.

Dr Cates cares deeply for the wellbeing of his patients. GREAT doctor.

Run Run Run As far as you can from this Doctor. He will use manipulative tactics so that either you or your insurance company will continue to put money in his pockets. Unlike any other Doctor that I have ever had Dr. Cates always seems to find my health awful. Hes wrong. He will milk you on tests and tell you no medication unless you takes these tests and do what I tell you even though Im fine.Well Mr. Cates Ive been to two doctors since you one by which laughed at your behavior might I add because he thinks youre a quack and Im fine. I hope you get fined for malpractice. You deserve it Id call Elizabeth Warren and share my experiences with her if I could. Youre an awful Doctor and Im glad Ill never visit your office again.

Very helpful in finding route causes not just a pill dealer would recommend to family and friends.

I felt bullied by a doctor for the first time. Unfortunately there was no level of trust so I decided to see a different family physician. My life is much better now.

First time in a very long time I had a physician that took the time to get to know me. In the past two years Dr. Cates has helped me get my thyroid and cholesterol under control and off of blood pressure medication. Hes not about prescriptions but about diet and exercise family history and daily life. Most times I dont have to wait long during an appointment. Like everything else some days it may take longer than others. He has never kept me waiting more than 15 minutes.
