I’m so happy my surgery went well because this is the worst doctors office I’ve ever had to deal with. And I’m not going to finish my follow up appointments that’s how terrible they are. Would 110% not recommend this practice to anyone ever. But, there was only one person there that actually listened and helped and that was there dietitian who I would recommend to everyone and than some.
They did my surgery six months ago. very good and professional. I had the lady Dr. Orion who did my surgery there. Very nice and professional and did a great job.
Was making monthly payments and only had $100 to go. I was randomly sent to collections by their their third pary billing. I Called Anchorage Bariatrics to let them know how this company was treating their paying customers but the receptionist was incredibly rude. She didnt want to hear it and was annoyed at my problem. Its like the nicer I was the meaner she was. I ended up callling Cornersone Credit to take care of it before of it before it hit my credit report. The woman from Collections was the kindest most helpful woman. Luclky I got it taken care of before it affected my credit. I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else.
I first off want to say that Michele at the front desk was super professional, and was amazing. however the rest of my proposed care was an absolute mess. I'm in remote Alaska, Telehealth is my only option. A few days before the appointment I was notified that the Doctor preferred an in person appointment, I gave them my available times I'd be in Anchorage, and we tried to work something out but it just wasn't going to work, we agreed that a telehealth appointment would work. I signed on to Zoom 15 mins early to the appointment link I was provided, and waited patiently. the meeting ended unexpectedly and I called the main office line, I was routed to the provider and she sounded annoyed and on edge. she stated she always has issues with technology. We finally saw each other via zoom and she again stated that she would of rather had this appointment in person. I could tell by her body language and the questions she asked me about how much I was in town this appointment wasn't going to be productive. I left the meeting. it took me many months of waiting for this appointment, If you work or live in remote Alaska it seems like this Business is equipped to see remote patients.
Excellent team !! Easy and professional Pre-op process. I had Surgery with Dr. Sean Lee, great doctor. Professional and he explained step by step my surgery. Nutritionist Soleil love her. She answered my questions at anytime. My surgery was the best decision in my life. Thank you Anchorage Bariatrics.
The business and staff here are amazing, mostly. My experience here today with the front receptionist was terrible. She was rude mean and somewhat aggressive. I believe her name was Evy not a very nice person to have being the face of your company.
I have never had a more frustrating and disappointing experience dealing with the people at this place. There is a ridiculous lack of communication between the office and the patient and between the people in the office. I wonder if the head doctors of this establishment know that their underlings can't even get a simple prescription to the correct pharmacy? Even after SEVERAL attempts and phone calls telling them over and over SPECIFICALLY which pharmacy you want it to go to? I wish I was kidding. If the people working here can't even get your prescription to the correct place then you really shouldn't be trusting them to help you out medically should you? Think twice before trying this place people. You'd better have both patience and tolerance at high levels or you will be sorry.
Aboustely love the Receptionist Abigail and Physian Assistant Shea, but the office is abloustely chaotic. Communication is horrible, always confusing in person and zoom apt up, Josie is rude and doesn't listen, it's all about her.. Dr Lee did a good job on my surgery but got me confused with a different patient when talking to me after surgery.. I don't regret the surgery but regret going with this practice
If I could leave negative stars I would! This office has literally ruined my credit. They booked my surgery through my insurance at a place that is out of network. I now have over $40,000 in bills. I pay monthly a ton of money to have medical insurance why would you go somewhere out of network and not tell me. The office sent me to collections for non payment even though I explained 100x I had met my max out of pocket on my insurance and should not have a bill. Well apparently the surgeon and office is in network with UHC but not the psychiatrist they forced me to use. They charged me $900 to see her. Had I known this i would have used someone else in network! Every time I try to call and speak to somebody in the office about this I’m told “call billing”. Also the day of my surgery Clark decided another dr would assist him so that added another $12,000 bill. Find another surgeon who Isn’t a shyster!!
For anyone considering the possibility of taking this step towards weight loss I cant recommend enough that you consider Anchorage Bariatrics. Dr Clark and his team are passionate about helping individuals get a new lease on life through improvement of health and wellness. They are compassionate and take every opportunity to care for you emotionally and physically throughout your journey leading up to surgery. They explain every step of the process and what you will experience as a patient, so when each step occurred, I was ready to take it on. My journey has been nothing short of incredible thanks to the team at Anchorage Bariatrics.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
