This review is based on the staff not surgeon. I liked the surgeon and believe he did a good job at the surgery but something is not right. When I called after to see why I was not healing the way I feel like I should they said that my complaints were not related to the surgery and to go see my primary. I still have pain and issues, and they refuse to even look at my blood work or review my records, they also refuse to let me talk to a nurse or a doctor. They have said they would call back multiple times, no call. They even have refused to provide me with my medical record. Legally they have 30 days, but I think it is wrong of a place who knows you are in pain to not provide the records so I can go see another doctor.

A very positive experience from begining to end. Had surgery on my back. This is day 2 post op and I am virtually pain free. Reg Tylenol is all I need. Whole care team was wonderful.

She literally saved my life in the Providence ER on November 6, 2020. I had an Organo-Axial Gastric Volvulus and the woman handled the situation and saved my life.

This place is a joke. I went in to the ER on the 18th, ended up getting my appendix removed which is a normal surgery, after 9 days I’m still having increased pain and vomiting without nausea and rashes, they refuse to see me and say “we don’t have a doctor in the office today.” Yesterday Dr. Wrigley refused to see me and his nurse Carol said “go to the ER if it’s that bad.” I called the ER and left a message (as I’m in pain and cannot drive to the ER) to try to talk to someone about what to do. They informed me it is in fact illegal to refuse to see patients after surgery. In my paperwork it tells me to call them if I’m experiencing these symptoms but they refuse to do anything about it and only point me to the ER. These people are awful, I was kind and patient yesterday and I’ve lost my patience with this place. I’m making a complaint against the dr refusing to see me and I advise everyone to stay clear from this place if you want actual care.

I had an abscess in my groin area that needed surgery and I was referred to Dr. Sedlac at Alaska Trauma and acute care. During my initial appointment I was told by Dr. Sedlac how he was going to handle the surgery. When I woke up from recovery I was shocked to find the incision he said he would make was a lot bigger than he had explained. I had been through a lot of these types of surgeries in the past and I noticed I was bleeding a lot while I was in recovery. I requested that The nurse call the Doctor due to my concerns and I was told to go home and get in a sitz bath. I got home and tried to get in the sitz bath and I began bleeding profusely, literally blood was pouring out of me. I had to compress a towel in my groin and RUSH back to the emergency room. I believe I could have bled out if I got in that bath. Because Dr. Sedlac was on call in the ER he came in to see me and what was totally amazing is that even though this doctor had performed this surgery on me he seemed to have no idea how to bandage it properly AT ALL!! I was scared I was gonna get infected. Fortunately I was able to get into the Providence wound care offices and they helped me finally heal. This definitely rates as one of my worst surgery experiences in my life and I’ve been through a lot. Honestly if I could rate this LESS than a 1 I would 😔

I came in through the ER and was treated with care, expediency and compassion.
