MIchael G Mcnamara's Online Review Report Card

Today was my first and last visit to Dr. McNamara. I arrived to my appointment 10 minutes early. The check in folks were nice. I sat for a little bit before getting called back. The nurse was friendly, however Dr. McNamara was not. He seemed to rush through my visit, didn’t ask much, and told me what needed to be done. I asked a couple questions and then he got up to leave before I was done talking. He told me he was behind schedule because the patient before me was 45 minutes late, and he had X people behind me. How is that my problem? I arrived on time. He sat back down and I was told to hurry up and make it quick. When you pose surgery to someone, let them ask questions, especially if they weren’t prepared for that. I will be going elsewhere, someplace that will take time and answer my questions. He might be a great doctor, and maybe he was having a bad day today, but first impressions really do mean something. I left there feeling like a number on a board, versus a valued patient.

McNamara did surgery on my finger October 2012 and I failed to give him a rating. Excellent job and my finger still doing great.

Dr McNamara spent a good amount of time and ordered imaging necessary to diagnose a very complex bilateral shoulder pain issue that had been excruciating for months. He was very helpful and I felt that he truly cared to find the cause of the issue. Other places I was rushed out the door and told to exercise my shoulders, which only exasperated the pain until I couldn't sleep. My shoulders are finally healing largely due to the insight he provided.

I tried to make an appointment this morning -I have been to the office before so am a prior patient. I was told that I could only be seen at 12:45 - no matter the day and no matter the physician. When I explained to Jasmine that I work in the valley and that an appointment at that time would cause me to miss a full day of work, she basically told me "too bad". I was in no hurry to get in and was willing to see any provider so this made zero sense to me. In fact, each time I contact this office, I literally cringe when she answers the phone as I have had previous experiences with her before. I am going elsewhere and I suggest you do the same.

Dr McNamara is an excellent Dr! He has performed multiple surgeries for family members- atleast 2 shoulders, one wrist, one elbow! He is very personable, and attentive, in addition to being exceptionally up to speed with the latest technology to assist in his surgeries and patient care. He has friendly staff and a nice office. He always gets to know his patients, He is a man of principal and integrity- worth knowing professionally and casually. " Dr Mike" is loved by many around the world!

This is a wonderful, and organized business. I feel my inner self is awaiting to have one of the extraordinary therapist to personally take care of my aches and pain in a genuine care that is certain to make that part of my body feel good and lighten the pressure of distress. I surely believe it is not routine but procedure is designed for me just like the braces and cane that are molded to fit the specific part of my body, . Thank you for caring.
