After flying down to see him he promptly diagnosed me with tendonitis (can’t believe my OMM or PCP couldn’t diagnose tendonitis) and left the room to put in my prescription. The whole interaction lasted maybe four minutes but I was expecting him to come back and ask if I had any questions or help me with finding resources because he didn’t do either before walking out. Waited for 20 minutes before the nurse came in to try and shoo me out. Said I’d already seen him. I told her that I was expecting him to come back and answer questions. After convincing her that I needed to see him I waited for 40 minutes for him to get back in the room. To be fair he did answer a lot of my questions, but for half of the answers it was “google it.” No resources provided. Did not feel cared for or my time spent flying to receive care respected at all. They are too worried about fitting enough patients into his schedule than providing actual care and resources. A very bad experience that left me upset and less hopeful about my future.
Dr. Ala is amazing! Not only he’s extremely intelligent and professional but also he’s through, empathetic, kind. If you have hand problems, look no further! You won’t get anyone better than Dr Ala!
Dr. Ala exceeded my expectations. About nine months ago I had a disagreement with a table saw, and I lost that argument. The result was a loss of the top and end of my index finger. The finger was gone from the tip to my first knuckle. The first doctor I saw said I would have to amputate the first knuckle. The second doctor said I could keep the joint, but there wasn't anything that could be done except wait for the skin to grow over the exposed bone.Dr. Ala took one look and immediately said he could rebuild the finger nail & I would keep my last joint.Nine months later, my wife and I are the only person who can tell that I ever had an accident.
Had a procedure for carpal tunnel release this morning with Dr. Ala. From our initial meeting in the office to the procedure he was very thorough and informative. I had had my other wrist done earlier this year so I appreciated that he didn't try to over explain what I already knew and let me decide my course of action within reason. His entire team has been fantastic. Professional, strong customer service & good bedside manner. I highly recommend this surgeon and this office to anyone.
Saw him for my shoulder. Very little attention given to me when I went in. Didn’t listen to his patient. Rushed. No relief or progress.
Due to Dr. Ala's inattention and busyness, my finger will never again be fully functional. He merely had a splint placed on it, gave me instructions to leave it on, then had it removed leaving me to discover if it might bend more with time. It hasn't, and I can no longer grasp well with my dominant hand. For the rest of my life I will be disabled because he was too busy to take the time to really assess my situation and help me.
My finger is ruined due to Dr. Ala's inattention and busyness. He just slapped a splint on it to keep it straight and called it good, so now my joint will never bend again.
Because Dr. Ala was too rushed to really take the time and assess my case, my dominant hand will never again be fully functional. Without the ability to bend my finger, I can no longer grasp well. My finger was quickly placed in a splint, the splint was removed, and now the joint will forever be frozen. I could have done what was done for me at home with the same results.
Dr. Ala is always extremely helpful and courteous. He’s completed two procedures with excellent results. Definitely my go to hand & wrist guy! And his staff is top notch.
To start with I hate going to hospitals, doctor appointments and places like that. Dr Ala’s office was different from the start..they set up everything online so when u get to ur appointment all u gotta do is check-in. Makes it simple when u don’t have 20 pages to fill out all saying the exact same on every page. 2 handicapped accessible elevators to make things easy for people going up and down between the floors. People at the front desk are always nice and quick to check u in. Lots of seating for every1. Only reason I’m giving a 4star is because they got rid of the coffee machine that used to sit on the counter next to the drinking faucet. Other than that surgery was simple and fast. Recovery time wasn’t long. Day 2 I was back to work doing what I do thanks to Dr Ala.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
