List of Owen L. Ala's Reviews
OPA has always been a wonderful place to get our booboos fixed. Between hubby and I, we've had the pleasure of using OPA services many times. Nothing but great experiences. Dr. Ala was my experience, I'm very appreciative and grateful for how my appointment went. Great place, great staff.
Friendly helpful staff. Have been going to OPA for many years. Have always been satisfied with all their services.
I thought him to be knowledgeable and caring!
Dr. Ala told me my best path to recovery without having to undergo surgery. Very nice and thorough guy.
Dr.Ala was very kind and professional. Very engaging, and I received great feedback. Injection into wrists bilaterally and little to no pain!
I love OPA and see a few different providers for different things. Dr. Aha seems like a very good physician. However, I waited for 40 minutes for him to come into the exam room. He didn’t introduce himself to me, I have never met the man, and spent less than 5 minutes with me. I have a cyst on my ring finger. He looked at it and told me he could remove it. ( I thought it was going to be removed at that appointment.). I left and went home! I now have another appointment to have my cyst removed.
After flying down to see him he promptly diagnosed me with tendonitis (can’t believe my OMM or PCP couldn’t diagnose tendonitis) and left the room to put in my prescription. The whole interaction lasted maybe four minutes but I was expecting him to come back and ask if I had any questions or help me with finding resources because he didn’t do either before walking out. Waited for 20 minutes before the nurse came in to try and shoo me out. Said I’d already seen him. I told her that I was expecting him to come back and answer questions. After convincing her that I needed to see him I waited for 40 minutes for him to get back in the room. To be fair he did answer a lot of my questions, but for half of the answers it was “google it.” No resources provided. Did not feel cared for or my time spent flying to receive care respected at all. They are too worried about fitting enough patients into his schedule than providing actual care and resources. A very bad experience that left me upset and less hopeful about my future.
Dr. Aka listened to my concerns, asked questions, did a through exam and then made his recommendation .Dr. Ala’s demeanor is quiet, exuding confidence and competence.
Dr. Ala is amazing! Not only he’s extremely intelligent and professional but also he’s through, empathetic, kind. If you have hand problems, look no further! You won’t get anyone better than Dr Ala!
Dr. Ala exceeded my expectations. About nine months ago I had a disagreement with a table saw, and I lost that argument. The result was a loss of the top and end of my index finger. The finger was gone from the tip to my first knuckle. The first doctor I saw said I would have to amputate the first knuckle. The second doctor said I could keep the joint, but there wasn't anything that could be done except wait for the skin to grow over the exposed bone. Dr. Ala took one look and immediately said he could rebuild the finger nail & I would keep my last joint. Nine months later, my wife and I are the only person who can tell that I ever had an accident.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
