I loved all my service, everyone was so nice and took care of me so well! I am forever grateful to all my Nurses and Drs, had my first surgery and had to do it alone due to stupid covid but they were who I had and greatly appreciated! ❤️

Wife is due to have a C-section on Friday at 0730 with a check in at 0530. This hospital decides at 1440 Wednesday to call and say she needs a covid19 test before Friday knowing she had this set up for months and seen twice a week now for NST. Wife had an appointment with the dr doing the surgery Tuesday at 1430 where we asked about the test and was told NO it was not needed. This hospital loves putting added stress on already stressed moms with short notice BS. This isn’t first time either issues. The billing department keeps trying to charge the wrong insurance causing issues cause they don’t know the difference in companies.

I want to thank all the Drs and nurses for everything you do for our community. And the challenges you face everyday with this virus I can’t thank you all enough for what you do and the compassion you have shown others. I pray every day for your safety. I went to providence express care and it was a very good experience. It was fast and easy. I highly recommend them. I was in and out in about 30 minutes.

TL:DR - If you’re okay with a doctor and ER team that’s going to treat a patient who is passing a kidney stone (that has been diagnosed by their team!) as though they are drug seeking narcotics, and isn’t going to pay attention to details, and won’t make good on the issues that their own department creates, then this is certainly the place for you. Full rant below: If you have options for your ER visit look elsewhere. My husband and my experience with Dr. Sami T Ali and the ER department was less than spectacular. We are very frustrated as it was made clear that we were going to fly home to California shortly after our midnight ER visit for his first kidney stone. The prescription that was given to us wasn’t even dated, and none of the pharmacies here will take it without a check mark over the qty as well. Well, we’re all human and make mistakes at 12 in the morning (I certainly didn’t catch it), so I called the ER in hopes that they could just send the prescription digitally to the pharmacy, but apparently they can’t. So because of this team’s incompetency we’re up a creek unless we go to another urgent or emergency care to see another doctor in the interim since nobody is open on the weekends. Who likes having money anyway right? There’s some things that aren’t their fault. I get it, you deal with drug seeking patients constantly in an ER, and it’s not exactly this hospital’s fault that the controlled substance processes are broken because of this, but at the end of the day you are a medical facility. In a medical facility details ALWAYS MATTER. If you were really that worried then why not test the blood that you took?? You can clearly see if this is just an addict trying to get their fix, or if this is someone who is clean and just trying to get through a painful process. So, as stated in my top summary, if you’re okay with a doctor and ER team that’s going to err on the side that a patient who is passing a kidney stone (OW!) of guilty until proven innocent for trying to treat their pain, and isn’t going to pay attention to details, and won’t make good on the issues that their own department creates, then this is certainly the place for you.

I went to providence for a heart catheterization in April. Due to the physicians negligence I got an air embolism and coded. The physician didn’t report it to the hospital and rushed me out the next morning. Now they are fighting me on this issue after admitting in writing what happened. Anyone else have this happen. This is considered malpractice and a never event. There needs to be an investigation there could possibly be deaths as a result. I posted a picture of the letter as well on this page. We will see if it shows up.

I was born here and appreciated this hospital until recently. The receptionist Neesha is awful, rude and short. She has sent me to the wrong number five times and has given me attitude each time I have to call back for her mistakes. She told me I was wrong, even though the person who answered my call claimed it was happening repeatedly. The staff is unorganized and has a problem with answering phones. I have visited there many times under various circumstances and there is always a fairly large staff, no matter what ward. The fact that NO ONE can answer a phone, or it has to ring a ridiculous amount of times before someone picks up is unacceptable. I get people can get busy, but to have issues nearly everytime I call is awful, especially when concerning loved ones that are ill. No one truly likes a hospital and it is up to the hospital's staff to make it a less painful experience. The people we want to check in on are the dying, the sick, or in some sort of a vulnerable state that only you can help with. We, as family need you as a source of information. Please organize better and get rid of that awful receptionist.

We went to First Care to stitch up my five years old daughters chin, and they sent us to the ER for possible sedation because they could not calm her down enough to do the stitches. The staff in the Children’s ER was so incredible that they not only performed the stitches with no sedation, but my daughter has been talking about how fun it is to get stitches for hours now! They found out her favorite activities and brought her so many fun things to do - then they showed her on a toy how stitches will fix her chin. She has a hard time when it comes to doctors, but they had her so at ease she didn’t want to leave. Words can’t express how thankful I am to this incredible staff taking the absolute best care of my daughter!
