Always helpful and friendly and makes me feel like I matter.
A traumatic experience to say the least
Kind caring patient calm Also Knowledgeable, shares his expertise. A patient came in 45 mins late and was treated graciously and seen by Dr Hines, afterwards he came in to see me untrusted and spen much time with me. I was very impressed
Dr Hines took his time explaining the diagnosis and treatment plan. I was his last patient at the end of the day. A patient came in 45 mins late he did not send him away he still took his time with me. I give him the highest recomendation. I am an RN.
He disregarded everything I said and said it wasn't neurological, when it was.. I felt an extreme lack of care, and felt like he couldn't give a single ounce of care for me as a human. He even went on his PHONE mid conversation. Why is he still practicing when he clearly decides to do nothing before his appointment???
A few months back I was referred to Dr. Hines because I was having trouble with my limbs falling asleep. I went in for the appointment back in July 2021. He asked a few questions and then at the end told me that there is nothing wrong with me physically and that it could be anxiety. I have dealt with anxiety all my life and had traumatic events occur in my life. I thought to myself how and why would all of sudden my anxiety progress that badly where I would mistakenly lose feeling in my hands and legs. I thought that was very unprofessional of him to tell me that it could be my “anxiety “ I was referred to him from my Primary Doctor having high hopes for an answer but, he basically told me it can all be just in my head. Dr. Hines told me how I looked good physically and should not worry. If anything happens that I can call back but, now I figured out why Coastal Neurology has low ratings. It’s funny how a Neurologist can say it’s all in my head but, doesn’t want to run a cat-scan just see what is going on with my brain.
The worst visit ever. What a waste of time. He kept repeating that my symptoms are stress related when i never said I was stressed. It was like he was trying to convince me that i was stressed. He did one test and said it wasn’t nerves. I’ve had numbness, burning, tingling, cold sensations, and other problems that are only getting worse. Been going on for many years. I know it’s neurological. So time to find a different dr who actually listens.
I felt the appointment was rushed and our questions weren’t able to be answered. He wasn’t able to explain the procedure. I was told by other doctors to discuss with him other areas of pain related to my nerves, but he didn’t seem to care enough to listen. Our entire interaction felt pointless to me.
Made up his mind before he met with me.
Great ??

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
