I just went through a cardiac catherization performed by Dr. Watkins. The team at Regional that prepped me and the team that assissted Dr Watkins during the procedure did an outstanding job. He answered all my questions and made me feel very at ease throughout. Thanks to all that helped and I would recomend Dr. Watkins to anyone needing heart work in Alaska! Thanks, Kendal Zinn

Dr. Watkins and his team did angiogram through my husband's wrist to see inside his heart and his aorata valve, which is in bad shape. He is eligable for TravR valve and they gave us results that instead of open heart surgery, he would be good for this new procedure. This is good news for us, as instead of three to six months recovery, he would be back to normal in two to four weeks. The team at Providence Heart Center were there every step of the way, can't say Thank You, enough.

In March of 2015 I was admitted with an Aortic Dissection, descending type B. I developed further complications and ultimately Dr. Watkins was brought in to insert an Endo graph device to repair the dissection. This is not a common problem seen in Alaska as our population simply doesn't support the numbers per 100k. Dr. Watkins and his team did an outstanding procedure. His explanation, analysis and plan to address the problem was spot on. I don't think you could thank someone like him enough.

I was admitted into Providence Hospital ER after experiencing chest pain and weakness for a few weeks after flying a trip for Delta Airlines. After tests run at ER, I was admitted and had 2 stents placed in my heart by Dr Watkins within a few hours. I never had a heart attack but had 95% blockage on one of my arteries. I found Dr Watkins to be very friendly, great bedside manner and great sense of humor and a well respected Dr at Providence by Nurses/docs that knew him there. I am 100% now!
