Steven Floerchinger's Online Review Report Card

Dr Floerchinger did a beautiful job, when he removed my gallbladder 3 years ago! There was never any post-OP pain, and I havent missed the thing one single minute since he took it out. It's like I never even had a gall bladder to begin with! The reason i have come back 3 years later to write a review, is because I was asked how bad my scar is, and that's when i realized that I dont even have one anymore!!! My poor girlfriend has a huge scar under her arm and across half her torso, and I dont have anything!! I would highly recommend Dr Floerchinger for this surgery!

Dear Dr. Floerchinger, I sure hope you remember me twenty years ago almost to the date! I was diagnosed with cancer in my right lung and you did my life saving surgery. At the time my husband Tom and I live in Anchorge, he was a city police officer and I had been a travel agent. Anyway I wanted you to know you were the best and most thorough Doctor a patient could ever want to have! I am still alive and well and just had my 78 th year birthday. He acts like a doctor, which is the way he needs to act when dealing with his patients. He did surgery on me years ago, and I have never forgotten his professionalism he had with me. I definitely recommend him to others who need general surgery services in Alaska. He's a professional, and he doesn't beat around the bush about anything. He's straight forward, and his bedside manner is that of a surgeon. I liked his straightforwardness he had with me and while he is serious in his demeanor, I made him laugh a few times.

I had a 10:30am appointment today, I was left waiting for 35 minutes with absolutely no one else in the waiting room. I got no explanation for the delay. I walked out. I had asked to see some of the surgical materials he might use for my surgery, I was told that it was too expensive to show me samples. He may be a good surgeon, but his bedside manner and courteous manner leaves alot to be desired. The office staff is very cold and uncaring, they need someone to lighten up the place.

Impatient and arrogant. Apparently competent. He was the on-call provider for the hospital.

Dr. Floerchinger saved my life. I had surgery to remove part of my colon. I was 100 pounds overweight and unhealthy. The surgery failed and I had to have another surgery. I was aware of the risks and do not blame him. Dr. Floerchinger performed the second surgery as well and was at my bedside every day while I recovered.
