Not your typical doctor that knows better than you will not listen what you say or treats you like just another number on the corporate wheel. Enough true intelligence to be flexible in his reasoning and implementation of treatment. From my experience is accomadating professional and thoroughly competent. He is a rare instance in this profession these days and an extremely welcomed change to the norm.

I came in to establish care with a local doc he was my dads doctor and hopefully get pain meds to hold me over until I could see a pain specialist because I was having excruciating pain in my back hips and legs. Id had a cat scan just days before and the report had not yet been released to me but the results were in the records that were sent over to his office. He accused me of drug seeking and neglected to tell me that I had a fractured spine. Thank God I got help later that day.

He neglected to tell me that I had a compression fracture instead focusing on some old lesions that were proven not to be cancer earlier this year. I left his office in tears. After seeing a pain specialist later that day I was hospitalized and provided appropriate care. This man is sick and strange.

I have been seeing Dr. Bob since I moved to Alaska. I cannot say enough good things about him He is willing to sit with you and answer every single question you can think of until you and your family completely understand what’s going on. He picked up on a diagnosis other surgeons missed. His staff is fantastic as well His nurse makes her email available for questions and Dr. Bob reviews the emails as well. I just wish he could treat my kids because he is great with them as well A++ doc

Dr Bob has been my doctor for about 9 yrs. I give him the highest marks for his professionalism expertise wealth of knowledge and a willingness to go the extra mile and educate me about my health conditions and taking a true interest in my wellbeing as a patient. Always takes extra time to explain things to me clearly and I always leave his practice just a bit happier than when I arrived. His office and medical staff are friendly respectable and deserve equal praise and recognition.

He is thorough and spends time with his patients. His staff is good on follow ups and they answer emails promptly.

Dr Skala has taken care of me from the very start. He has put me back on track and I have fallen off a couple of times but he reminds me that he wants me to live a quality life and I have to agree with him. He is definintely one of the best.
