Dr. Chernich overprescribed my anti-depressant, Wellbutrin SR. Our discussed dosage was 300mg/day, she wrote the prescription for 600mg/day. The max dosage recommended on all sites/forums/medication pamphlets I have read show it is 450 mg/day. The drugs main side effect is seizures. The pharmacy and insurance, flagged the high dosage, but her office didn't change it. It took 3 separate requests and over 3 weeks for her to change it. Her nurse Lynsey was argumentative that 600mg/day was the right prescription because it was a short acting but everything I've read shows the max dosage is 450 mg/day whether it's the extended release or short-acting. Also, I had only been on the medication for 2 weeks. How is it reasonable to prescribe even the max dosage only 2 weeks into an anti-depressant, let alone exceed the dosage. I'm so glad the pharmacy and insurance caught this and I read more about the medication so I didn't end up overdosing and having seizures. I also reported to the clinic.

Best Doctor I ever had!!!!! Wish she was still in Phoenix. Kind, Caring, Patient, Brilliant are just a few words to describe her. It has been 10 years and I still can't find a doctor as great as she is. I have many Medical issues and she always took the time to make she I was well. She goes out of her way to help make sure her patients have the best care. Truly one of gods angels at work. Thank you Dr. Chernich keep healing this world one person at a time.
