Do not ever send your people to this horrible doctor. He does not listen and does not want to get to the reason for pain!

Saw dr lovitt this morning awesome doctor would highly recommend him very professional and explained everything front office staff very friendly and helpful

We felt like Dr. Lovitt made our visit very comfortable and very much put my husband at ease. He took his time and we felt like he wasn't rushing through the visit to get to his next patient. We were MOST impressed at how quickly we were taken back to a room and seen. Dr. Lovitt and his staff were very respectful of our time!

Dr Lovitt and his entire staff were absolutely fantastic, from high level scheduling to the most helpful check in! Dr Lovitt explained each step of the visit process and personally hosted each step of the process rather than handing me off. Not only was the process more than comforting, the environment and personalities of the staff made what could be a nerve wrecking experience rather enjoyable . I left wishing that each medical experience I have moving forward mirrored the experience I had with his practice. Thank you Dr Lovitt!

This doctor’s office refused to even schedule an appointment for me unless I gave them my credit card information over the phone so they could charge me $100 for a no show cancellation fee…in the event I cancelled the appointment they were refusing to schedule. 🤔 I’m familiar with cancellation fees for no shows (that’s a common and acceptable practice nowadays) but I’m usually asked to review the policy once I get to the office. However, a $100 fee is still outrageous and to insist on a credit card prior to even scheduling an appointment speaks loudly as to where this doctor’s loyalties are. Of course doctors need to be compensated for their time and expertise, but at least let us think that patient care is still a priority, especially during this COVID era. In addition to that, I’m sick of these doctors who think their time is more precious than their patients’ time. If I’m late or have to cancel (which almost never happens with me) then I’m penalized, but where’s the penalty for them when I have to wait literally hours in the waiting room or examination room because they can’t manage their time or they’re squeezing in as many as they can. Really…how can 3 patients all have an 11:15 appointment time?!?! While the medical community may have it hard because of the pandemic, so do patients. Navigating care from our perspective is hard for patients too. Respect on both ends and grace from both sides is crucial, but this doctor’s office is ridiculous! Thanks, but no thanks! I won’t be taking my business here!

I’m an out of state patient looking for a second opinion from a professional. My circumstances and symptoms are atypical and was referred by a local Houston neuro surgeon. Dr.Lovitt meet me last minute and was through. I have to complete an additional procedure but felt his insight lead to a thoughtful investigative response.

I was experiencing drop foot syndrome in my left leg. I first consulted with a spinal neurosurgeon, who after extensive tests and imagery, determined that my condition was not the result of a spinal disorder. Dr. Steven Lovitt was then recommended, and my primary care physician forwarded him my file. At my consultation with Dr.Lovitt, he asked me a some questions, made a visual inspection of my foot and it’s movements, and then conducted an EMG test. (It should be noted that my file already contained EMG test results.) Apart from the visual assessment of my foots movements, Dr. Lovitt did not visually examine or palpate my left leg. Dr. Lovitt’s diagnosis was that I had an idiopathic condition. During my consultation with Dr. Lovitt I observed that he was distracted and dismissive of my questions. At the time I thought he was simply having a doctors equivalent of a “bad hair day”. Later I discovered a tiny lump behind my left knee and my primary care physician ordered an MRI. The MRI showed a mass in the region of my peroneal nerve. Subsequent surgery by and orthopedic neurosurgeon removed two large ganglion cysts (one adjacent and one entrained) at my peroneal nerve. I do not question Dr. Lovitt’s skills or credentials; he is recommended by physicians and therapists I hold in high regard. Also, I note that of some of Dr. Lovitt reviews are complimentary. However since there are also reviews of Dr. Lovitt which are similar to mine (where his attitude and behavior are cited), I have decided to go on record.

We were so happy that we found Dr. Steven Lovitt! We were so impressed! Not only did he diagnose my husband’s rare Huntington’s Disease, that two other neurologists failed to do, but he showed genuine caring and compassion. On our first visit he told us that he was ordering a new round of tests and we’d meet with him again later for a follow-up. We had been through so many tests previously that I felt a little discouraged. As he was about to walk out of the room, he saw the look on my face, stopped, stepped back in the room and asked me what was wrong. I expressed my discouragement, and he explained his reasoning for the new round of tests. We left feeling relieved and when we came back for the follow-up, he had the diagnosis. When he then referred us to the Huntington’s Center for Excellence, he reassured us by telling us that if his brother had the disease, this is where he would send him. Dr. Lovitt is extremely knowledgeable and cares!
