He's a great doctor

He was very compassionate. Gentle with my Down syndrome son. He gave us the option to use other pharmacy stores to get my son's prescription. He always welcomes us. He answered all my questions.

Went to see doctor May for skin rashes issue. The problem wasn't apparent during the visit, therefore the doctor asked me to send photos of the rashes when they appear. I did that as instructed when the rashes appeared several days later, and didn't receive any response from the doctor. Two follow-up emails were subsequently sent and a call was made, still no response from the doctor. Extremely disappointed by his lack of response and compassion!

I walked out after waiting 1 hour to see the doctor. 45 minutes was in my underwear freezing in the exam room. Never saw the doctor. I got dressed and walked out and no one cared. No one cared to call me or follow up. No one apologized for ignoring me or inconveniencing me. My appointment was at 11:00 and I walked out at noon. Dr Steven MAYS was no where to be seen and no one told me he was running late. I wonder if he billed my insurance for the visit. I intend to send him a bill for my time.

He took a look at my face then prescribed the water pills and tretinoin cream. I had Cigna with Texas children’s hospital. I called my insurance and verified the benefits. If Dr. Mays or his staffs have sometime to fax the pre-authorization form back to the Cigna, I only have to pay $10. I have reference call number for this guarantee price from Cigna. It took the doctor office 2 days to return my call with the response that “ Dr. Mays doesn’t do pre-auth form since it takes a lot of time that’s why he gave you the coupon”. Well, speechless!

Dr. Mays was professional and thorough while examining me. He really listened to my concerns and was very kind.

I was referred to Dr. Mays by a friend. He's excellent! He was very compassionate to my concerns and very knowledgeable. I will definitely go back to him and refer him. Also, the office is great. From reception to his Assistant, Sharon. She was so kind and so understanding. She made me feel very comfortable. Really great office, I definitely recommend.
