After two surgeries and a bill over 5grand. I’m still in the same position as I started with pain and bleeding. Going up to Anchorage for a second opinion!
Dr. Miller is a good natured, highly experienced surgeon who is ultra focused on effective treatment and patient care.

Dr. Miller provided me with wonderful care, from start to finish, in dealing with a medically necessary procedure. I greatly appreciated his patient and professional demeanor. I felt very comfortable under his care and cannot recommend him highly enough to those in need of his skill.
Dr. David Miller performed my first surgery, a Roux-En-Y gastric bypass, and has either performed or assisted in every other surgery I had. He is very knowledgeable. While he has a great bedside manner, he doesn't beat around the bush. He will tell you everything straight. He is the most compassionate doctor. Maybe because Juneau is a small town, maybe not; Dr. David Miller personally visited my hospital room every single day I was in the hospital. My surgeries have been, at times, life threatening and complex. Dr. David Miller always knew what needed to be done, did it, and followed me through the duration. Dr. David Miller puts you at ease and is very easy to trust. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. David Miller.
I am a young (under 25 YO) woman who went in for a colonoscopy. From the pre op appointment, Dr. Miller made it abundantly clear that I was wasting his time. He said twice, "you don't need to go to medical school to know what's wrong with you," and "you just need to learn to eat fiber cereal." After ten minutes of being told off for wasting his time, I quietly asked him if he would please go over the actual procedure. When I showed up the next day in same day surgery, the nurse said I'd never signed a peace of paper that said the doctor went over the risks and benefits of a colonoscopy. I said I hadn't really been aware there were any risks, and I'd only heard the benefits of fiber. Dr Miller then came in angrily to ask if I had just decided not to read the paper pamphlets he send me home with because that had everything on it so he didn't need to tell me anything else. He walked out of the room and I burst into tears. This is honestly the worst bedside manner I've ever experienced.
Good experience with communications of the procedures and risks well explained.
After a previous hernia repair surgery where Dr. David Miller was an assist, I chose to go to him for another hernia repair. After approx 4 weeks after surgery, it was apparent that the repair had failed and my hernia was even larger than prior to surgery. Being concerned that I had drifting mesh and the internal damage it could cause, I called Dr. Miller. He would not take my calls, told his nurse to tell me that no surgery is guaranteed. I continued to place calls - he continued to ignore.
Dr. David Miller, Juneau, AK performed my 4th Colonoscopy and provided excellent pre and post procedure care. Being awake during the event, and viewing a monitor he explained everything he observed and even provided pictures of the polyps before removal. His technique is first rate and gentle. You will not find a physician with better knowledge, skills and abilities.
Best doctor I've ever been to. Dr.David Miller is an educated and kind doctor who takes the time to listen to me and give me proper advice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
