I am a patient from a small outlying community in SE Alaska. Fantastic experience throughout. Hip is great! Highly recommend!!
Very down to earth Dr. who truly cares about doing a good job and people’s health. My mother broke her hip and his care and compassion was a God send! Thank you!
As a retired medical professional, I have criteria in choosing a doc. I’m very impressed with Dr. Shellack-straight, to the point, answered all my questions throughly and preformed a rotator cuff injection, which gave me nearly a years worth of relief. He’s very good. And I’m searching for him to do my surgery, presently. Thought I’d let others know - he’s a keeper, if you need an orthopod
Did my wife's knee replacement. Very nice Doctor, excellent care. thankful for what he has done for my wife. highly recommend
I fractured my hand on active duty in Feb 2009. I started seeing Dr Schellack after my first dr left (dr peterson? not sure if he got out or went IA) ...
I started seeing him after my first dr either left or retired. At first he was awesome seeing really interested and ordered xrays for me right away (the other dr did nothing). Once those x-rays came back with nothing he started doing nothing. I saw him until Feb 2012 i had to take my husband (fiancé at the time) with me to see if I was explaining myself wrong because I was in so much pain and he just didn't seem to care. He finally ordered a MRI of my neck after 2 years of telling him how much it hurt told me there was nothing wrong and he couldn't do anything else. My symptoms where tingling in my while right arm, swelling in my hand/fingers, sore neck, "popping" and grinding in my wrist, shoulder blade pain, and eventually elbow pain. But since nothing was wrong with my Oner nerve he just couldn't find anything. I went up on a med board and had to go to the Va hospital in Fresno the dr there asked me if I knew the results of the MRI I told him yes there was nothing it on it. .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
