I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Schwarting. He has performed a complete knee replacement on my left knee at which time, I was up and about with no residual effects within 3 to 4 months post op. He also did a Carpatunal surgery to my Rt. Hand and again recovery was quick and I have full movement. I also need a few more replacements which I will leave in Dr Schwarting's capable hands. ...

Dr. Schwarting did my total hip replacement in Juneau October 2018, and he did an excellent job. The surgery required was somewhat complex, due to dysplasia; I'm thankful that Dr. Schwarting had the skill to do it successfully. I was worried I would have to go to Seattle to get this sort of surgery done; Juneau is lucky to have Dr. Schwarting here. Also, he was nice and helpful to talk with.

He’s an excellent ortho surgeon who performed one one of my knee surgeries. I have no complaints he’s professional thorough and personable thanks DrSchwarting. He’s also an awesome doc to work with.

BEWARE, Dr. Schwarting and Juneau Bone & Joint GROSSLY overcharge their patients. For 2 10-minute visits where the doc reviewed x-rays, my wife, who had a very mild fracture was charged over $1,400!

Our son was hit by a car and had his pelvis broken all the way through. The ER didn't catch anything on xray. We went to Dr.Schwarting, he took xrays and told us nothing was wrong but when questioned why our son wasn't able to walk after 2 weeks and taking my husband to point out an abnormal area on the xray, he concluded that YES, in fact his pelvis had been broken clear through but was already starting to heal. Why would I waste my money on this "specialist"? Go South for anything, don't waste your time or money for the "medical treatment" here, it sucks.

The Best! I would travel TO Juneau for treatment by Dr. Schwarting!. Not easy to get an appointment with due to so many patients who won't let anyone else treat them, but definitely worth any delay. Another Dr in JBJ treated me very poorly and I demanded my care be transferred to Schwarting. He had the correct tests run, set up surgery and a 7 month prolonged pain and misery from my knee was completely removed by him. If I could give him 10 stars I would.
