John E Varallo Md's Online Review Report Card

Honestly Things started out SO great and I was very impressed! I even brought my niece with me and she started treatment there. I will start by saying, Dr. Varallo has a great chair side manor, and is very personable, but that doesn't make up for what has happened. I am being as detailed as I can be as to warn others to really, really do their research.Midway through the projected treatment time I started to get nervous. I constantly had to remind him what my "end goal" was and once I got a comment of "Oh, I would have done things differently from the beginning if I knew that".. My goal was clear at the beginning.When we were almost done treatment I was told that my bottom teeth were done.. While still being very crooked. If I didn't mention anything they would have been left like that! I, with no dental training, had to ask for a bracket reposition, Thanks internet! At this point I was very unhappy and afraid I wouldn't be happy with my results. I confided in the assistant multiple times to let her know I was not happy. (Please note that my anger is with the office manager and Dr. Varallo.. The assistants that I have personally worked with, Ashley and Sandra) were really kind.)The braces were removed and I made it clear I was pretty unhappy, (so much so I teared up when I saw them without the brackets on for the first time) with the results and nothing was said or done. Literally nothing. I thought I was just being a little picky, but Fast forward to a trip to my regular dentist for a cleaning, I was asked if I had finished my treatment with Dr. Varallo... My crossbite (effects my TMJ) and midline were never fixed or even attempted to be fixed. My front six teeth are uneven some being higher than others, and now after nearly two years I am starting from square one again.When I expressed how unhappy I was with the office manager she let me know Dr. Varallo went over "the limitations as to what he could do". I was then told by Denise (OM), that Dr. Varallo would not see me during business hours and if I wanted to talk about it, I could go in before the office opened, or during a lunch break, but those times were not an option for me at all, as they were in the middle of drop off and pickup for school.I have now been to a few orthos in the area and have gotten consults and exams. ALL of them have said more could have been done to get a much better outcome not only cosmetically (my main goal was to widen my smile and I was told unanimously that more could be done while Dr. Varallo said no more could possibly be done) and to fix my bite. I am back at square one and about to start treatment again.*Edited to add, Dr. Varallo never reached out or acknowledged that I was upset or dissatisfied with my outcome. NOT ONCE. Owning a small business and knowing first hand how word of mouth is really how you get business, that shocked me. And he seemed like such a nice guy who genuinely cared. After he was informed of the yelp review, he sent an email asking if my niece was going to continue her treatment here after "I lost trust in his practice" he then smugly offered to refund HER entire treatment cost while not mentioning a thing about to try and make things right with me.He did not even apologize or try to make it right. I sent a follow up email and it went unanswered. He did this knowing I had seen other orthos and have to redo treatment. I am willing to share all other orthos findings and new treatment plan privately with anyone who wishes, as I hope that this beer happens to anyone else.As an adult patient, I can not even begin to tell you how stressful this whole process was. From taking tons and tons of time off work (I was told at my consult they were open mornings, then found out they don't do morning adjustments those are for "long appointments", to now having to hire a lawyer to get my money refunded so I can go spend another two years fixing issues, I am not only frustrated, but could be out well over $6000. I truly, truly urge you to get multiple consults and to think on this decision as it could be extremely costly and time consuming.

My experience with Varallo Orthodontics for the Invisalign treatment has been wonderful :) I was offered free consultation and shown customized images of my teeth before and after treatment, so I knew what to expect. They scheduled regular visits where they gave a set of aligners and monitored progress. At times, when I was unable to pick up the aligners, the team was nice enough to mail them to me. Varallo's team is courteous and ensured that I had a smooth experience, thank you so much! I'm extremely happy with the results which exceeded expectations, I highly recommend Varallo Orthodontics.

The entire Varallo orthodontics team is so kind and welcoming. I had my appointment with Sandra today and she is always so sweet and super professional!..even after i almost bit her finger off!! I felt so bad but she laughed it off. I'm confident that I chose an efficient and easy going team of orthodontists. Thank you everyone for a pleasant experience time and time again.

I would give no stars if I could. Spent 4 years Working with him. 18 months in bottom braces and Invisalign, then three more years in just Invisalign and elastics My teeth never moved. He never adjusted the plan and each visit he told me things looked great. At the very end he told me maybe i Need braces up top or jaw surgery. When I told him it was ridiculous to hear this at this point in our agreement he referred to consent forms I had signed that covered him. I finally got my money back but I completely regret the time and trust I put into him. Steer clear. Do your research and find someone else. terrible, terrible experience

Dr Varallo and staff have been so kind and encouraging to all of my children over the years. We've had a great experience with braces and Invisalign tackling unique orthodontia situations.

Dr. Varallo has done a great job with my two "tweens" and their various orthodontic work, including braces, palate expanders, and retainers. He's always very friendly and gentle, and has been a positive influence on the kids and the community.

Excellent practice. Two of my kids have been coming there for more than a year now. Very easy to schedule, reschedule and with two offices you get more choices of locations. Sometimes it is convenient to come to one another time to another . We live all the stuff who are very friendly and attentive. The important thing is that all the worked that had been done is paid off. Happy smiles and correct pronunciation of the words. Thumbs up for two of my boys.

Dr. V did an amazing job straightening my teeth with Invisalign. He and his staff were always so welcoming and friendly and made for such a positive experience. I highly recommend Dr. Varallo's office for orthodontic treatment.

My teeth are straight and clean because of Dan Varallo the floss boss. Merch is also top notch!

My son started with Varallo Orthodontics about a year ago and the experience has been very good. Always good communication and a super friendly office. And then I decided to do invisalign myself, starting a couple months back. So we're both patients. Same, positive experience. Would recommend.
