My daughter was seen by Dr. Finnigan for about 15 years and he was recommended to us from TX Children's Hospital, the head of Pediatric Cardiology in Houston. Dr. Finnigan has since retired and she needs to find a new cardiologist - very sad. If Dr. Finnigan could recommend a new Cardiologist for Taylor that would be awesome. Looking for this recommendation, I tried to hook up with Dr. Finnigan on LinkedIn with no luck. My 15 yo daughter has seen Dr. Finnegan several times over the past 2 years and everytime he connects with her instantly and answers my questions thoroughly. He uses humor to to put the kids at ease and is genuinely kind and caring. But as a nurse I know that bedside manner is not everything. He is a top notch cardiologist as well and trust his diagnosis and treatment. I have been the field of cardiologuy for 24 years and have worked with many cardiologists. My daughter has seen over 15 doctors over the 2 past years due to a chronic illness. Dr. Finnegan rates at the top of our list. I think we are well equipped to fairly and accurately rate this doctor.

I am currently waiting to have valve replacement surgery. I learned that I needed the surgery over 6 weeks ago. We have been waiting for 6 weeks for Dr. Finnigan to get in contact with a surgeon so that we can schedule surgery. I called several times each week in order to ask for the staff's help or information on why such a long delay, I have even visited in person hoping to find answers. It has been frustrating and infuriating. There is no doubting Dr. Finnigan's skill he is a skilled doctor and knows his stuff, I just wish he would be more professional and treat me with respect. If you are looking for a doctor that you will have to visit often, I wouldn't use him. If it is a one time visit he might be a better choice.

Dr. Finnigan is really wonderful. He's highly respected in his field and is terrific with kids. I recommend him highly.
