David Barnes's Online Review Report Card

Dr Barnes has been my provider for at least 12 years. I understand. As I am now on Medicare that Dr Barnes no longer sees patients on Medicare. Ok. But his PA, Katherine Albert. I have a problem with. Not only is she unprofessional, she has a horrible bedside manner. She made me feel like I was worthless. Her attitude toward me was condescending. I stood up snd told her she was fired. Then I received a letter saying she had to terminate my account. Ok. I fired her. And she’s making it seem like it was my fault and she terminated it. Wrong. I let go of her so called services. I terminated this. Not her. I don’t recommend her at all. Dr. Barnes is an awesomeDoctor. He genuinely cares for his patients. And it really upset me that I won’t be seeing him anymore.The office staff needs spruced up a bit but other than that Dr. Barnes is the bomb. But if your on Medicare. Might I suggest another provider. K Albert is awful. And to me she doesn’t know what she is doing I will miss him.

First, I must say Doctor Barnes is exceptional. I truly respect and admire his knowledge, professionalism, and positive patient interaction. He is without a doubt a wonderful physician. Unfortunately, I had to stop going to see Dr. Barnes because of his staff. Paula his assistant ( I believe an MA) has been nothing but unprofessional, rude, and condescending. She has incorrectly given me results, confused me with a different patient, messed up standing appointments only to say that it was my fault and not hers. I once had called for 8 days straight to make an important appointment with Dr. Barnes, only to be be chastised and lectured by Paula on why it took them so long. I once had gone in for an appointment and sat for 25 minutes watching Paula eat her Chinese food and completely disregarding my arrival for my scheduled appointment. On another occasion, Dr. Barnes had questioned about why I wasn't continuing a prescribed treatment with Dr. Barnes, and she boldy in front of myself and fiancee advised that I didn't want to continue treatment. Which was an absolute lie and only said by her to cover herself from incompetent behavior. I've also had medical billing incorrectly performed and made aware that I owed money, when in fact it wasn't billed or followed up correctly. It is very disheartening that I am forced to stop seeingsuch an amazing doctor due to his staff actions and behavior. But, I cannot fathom being treated so badly to the point of tears and anxiety any longer. I hope Dr. Barnes becomes aware of the internal office issues at hand, as I know multiple patients that have stopped going to Dr. Barnes for the same reasons.

Best doctor I have ever been to. Dr. Barnes will be my new primary for sure. He was attentive, put up with my constantly interrupting him, and didn't make me feel rushed at all like my last few doctors. He spent time on each issue individually with me and at the end of the appointment went back through and summarized everything we had talked about to make sure we were clear and hadn't missed something.At most offices you get stoneface looks from the front desk, here they made me feel comfortable and welcome. Everyone here has a sense of humor and made jokes about usual medical tropes. I could see people thinking the conversation was not professional enough, but for me it was a much preferred attitude.If I could give more stars I would.

Outstanding! Great office staff! An appointment with Dr. Barnes is unhurried, thorough, educational, and compassionate. I have never had a physician spend time with me the way Dr. Barnes does. Wonderful care!

TERRIBLE! They will not answer the phone. They say leave a voicemail but it’s always full. When you can leave a voicemail- they return the call several days later. This is extremely obnoxious and very unprofessional.

I saw Dr Barnes this afternoon for my annual check up and was so pleased with the whole experience. The office staff was so friendly and Dr Barnes so professional, thorough and friendly. Dr Barnes is on top of the latest treatments and is a hands on doctor which is the best kind. A real in tune doctor can tell everything about his patient by asking you to smile, watch his finger, tap your reflexes, listen to your heart valves and so much more. Dr Barnes knows his stuff.

Best bedside manner we have ever experienced- a doctor that cares!

Say it ain’t so Doc. I’ve been nothing but super happy with them for the past years but now no answers to phone calls all day long every day for a week. Hopefully he’s not retiring/closing. If he is closing a friendly postcard letting people know would be sweet. I left a voicemail but I’m not holding my breath.

Dr Barnes was my doctor for many years. However, his staff choices since moving to his new location caused me to lose all faith in him.I would constantly have to hound them for appointments, they would more often than not neglect to call before appointments to remind me of them, they said that my partner had missed appointments, they refused to accept payment from my debit card for my Medicaid co-pay saying that Medicaid would not accepted it (this was a lie to my face as I have had no trouble using my card for my copay elsewhere), and ultimately they dropped my partner as a patient with no warning or follow up. The lady at the front desk made me feel constantly unwelcome and like I was bothering her.I’ve spoken with family members and I’m not the only one who’s had this experience concerning his staff.He is a great doctor, but while he has this staff I can not recommend him to anyone.

Extremely unprofessional I have had severe stomach issues for months and no doctor seems to know whats wrong. Ive waited for my appointment with Dr. Barnes for a month now. When I made my appointment I was informed that they do a daybefore courtesy call to remind you of your appointment. Not only did they not call but when I called the office to verify there was no answer. Paula Dr. Barnes medical assistant doesnt EVER answer the phone and her voicemail box is always full although her voicemail says she will call back anyone who leaves a message. So after that I choose the option from the menu that transfers me to the front counter receptionist. Once again no answer and they say to leave a voicemail and big surprise The damn voicemail is full too I dont know who is running that office but they are unprofessional and unable to perform simple tasks. I have been unable to get ahold of anyone in that office for 2 days guess Im going to miss my appointment. I almost lost my job due to the intense stomach issues I have been experiencing. I dont want to be cared for by a doctor whose own staff dont care about people. I am a receptionist and I would NEVER fail to answer the business phone. I will never give this doctors office my business or business of anyone I know.
