I had suffered with low back pain off and on for the last 20 years with more intense pain along with leg pain for the last 5 years. I was treating the pain conservatively because I had been told by other physicians that I was not a candidate for surgery. Before seeing Dr. Falkowski, he reviewed images of my lumbar spine along with records from my other providers so he was familiar with my history and current condition. During my first appointment, he reviewed my images and medical history with me and asked lots of questions about my pain. He concluded that I had bone spurs that were pinching my sciatic nerve and recommended outpatient surgery to do a laminotomy and partial discectomy. The surgery went very smoothly as has my recovery. I am now six weeks post-op and feel ready to resume some of the fun outdoor activities that I have been unable to do. I found the staff at OPA to be very professional and pleasant to work with and recommend Dr. Gene Falkowski to anyone with spine issues.

Dr Falkowski is a wonderful doctor. He provided such care and compassion throughout my surgery, preop and post op. He informed me of the procedure he was going to do as well as the post op care I would require. He preformed exceptional care. I would recommend him to anyone who needs to have back surgery. Seen very quickly. Everyone from front desk staff to nurse to X-ray techs to doctor was so friendly and really listened to my concerns. I was in and out with really no wait. Left with good options for treatment and follow up. Completely satisfied.

Had ACDF surgery for my C5, C6, and C7 and I’m absolutely thrilled with Dr. Falkowski, Jr. He is absolutely amazing at what he does and he’s down to earth and he really cares. He went over and beyond.
