John Looney's Online Review Report Card

Since I can’t seem to write a new review, I am going to edit my old one. First and foremost, I have read some of the negative reviews about Dr. Looney and they frustrate me. Dr. Looney is an excellent doctor. He’s caring and patient, and does whatever he can to help solve your health related problems. Sometimes, the resolution is not quick, but he doesn’t just give up and write you off. What I don’t think most people understand is of how regulated doctors are - it’s a careful balancing act to safely treata patient and guard your medical license. Dr. Looney follows the rules. People may not like it, but it’s for your safety. He also likes to thoroughly review you if you are new to make sure your previous doctor DX you correctly. He’s very aware of the long-term side effects of medications and he does like to try the ones least likely to harm you to see if they work, rather than keep you on something that can cause more damage down the road than your current condition. If one bothers to ask him why, he will explain why he feels it’s a better choice. Every time I have seen Dr. Looney he has actively listened to my concerns and my problems, patiently. He has never dismissed any of my complaints or made me feel “crazy”. I have found him to be concerned for me, empathetic, and compassionate. If you just want a doctor to write out a quick script with no questions asked, he is not your guy. However, if you’re looking for a doctor who genuinely cares about your health and safety through your lifetime, then he is the perfect doctor for you.

Doesnt listen to what your saying. I told him I did not take a certain medication. In the little sum up of papers he gives, he told me to stop talking a med. I never get unless I have a pocedure! Someone always graduates at the bottom. I did not like they way he pulled my pants down, with no warning!!!!

Dr. Looney is EXTREMELY respectful and professional. I am very pleased with the medical care he provides.

Dr Looney and his team are incredible. They work to ensure no one falls through the cracks. Dr Looney has worked overtime trying to help me find answers for my health problems and I’m so appreciative of him!

I'm a patient of Dr. Looney's and he doesn't need to do complete blood work at every visit and he does have a computer but he can't carry a desktop around to each room to see his patients. Dr. Looney is a very educated Physician. Just because he writes on a piece of paper doesn't mean he needs his license pulled.

I saw Dr. Looney yesterday as a new patient. He was very kind and attentive. He listened and that is a lost art in many physicians. His staff very professional but friendly.

This man shouldn’t be allowed to practice medicine! Very rude and doesn’t care about you as a patient only cares about making money! My last checkup he didn’t even do complete blood work! He needs his license revoked! A patient sees a doctor for medical care not to just talk! Doesn’t even have a computer to enter progress notes uses a piece of paper! I could get better care at jiffy lube!

I read all the negative comments but decided to take a chance. Good experience. It seems he has solved the problems .

Dr. Looney is an amazing doctor. He's spent a lot of time discussing my health issues. I'm impressed with how thorough he is. If you want a great doctor who actually cares, see Dr. Looney. If you are drug seeking for narcotics, go someplace else!!!

Saw Dr. Looney about back and joint pain as well as insomnia issues. He said he would schedule x-rays and he prescribed me some sleep medication. While checking out I asked how I was supposed to receive the medicine he prescribed. I was told that my order was sent to the pharmacy listed on my paperwork. I was told to go to the diagnostics center for my X-rays. When I arrived at the diagnostics center I was told to wait while they pulled up the request from Dr. Looney. After a while the lady came back and told me that they did not have any records of my Dr. sending a request. They attempted to call his office several times with no answer. Finally about ten minutes before they were due to close I saw Dr. Looney walking to his car. I informed him that I had been waiting and they had tried paging him as well as calling his office to get my orders. He went back to his office and submitted the orders. The x-ray tech had to stay almost an hour late after business hours to perform the x-rays. They completed the X-rays on my back and told me I was finished. I asked about the x-rays for my elbows. They informed me that once again Dr.Looney had failed to send the orders. I was not able to complete my X-rays. I drove to my pharmacy to pick up the medication Dr. Looney prescribed and they informed me that they never received any orders to fill my sleep medication. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a Dr’s office. I sent an email to discuss what happened and everything that was supposed to be done that wasn’t. I received no reply at all. Avoid wasting your time and money. Use a Dr. that would care enough to at least schedule your x-rays and ensure you receive the medication they prescribed.
