List of John Looney's Reviews
Dr. Looney is EXTREMELY respectful and professional. I am very pleased with the medical care he provides.
My husband, Allen Whitworth, came in as a new patient last week, and requested info on COVID vaccines. Dr looney gave him an exam & a clean bill of health and strongly recommended the vaccine. End result, he became ill the day after getting the shot and ended up testing positive for COVID. I am also feeling poorly, but I refuse to boost the stats with a test. If there is no treatment, why bother. I feel like the whole system is a racket, and I might not ever trust doctors again.
I'm a patient of Dr. Looney's and he doesn't need to do complete blood work at every visit and he does have a computer but he can't carry a desktop around to each room to see his patients. Dr. Looney is a very educated Physician. Just because he writes on a piece of paper doesn't mean he needs his license pulled.
I saw Dr. Looney yesterday as a new patient. He was very kind and attentive. He listened and that is a lost art in many physicians. His staff very professional but friendly.
I've been seeing Dr. Looney since 2018, I think. I have had nothing but wonderful service from him and the entire staff! He has worked with me to treat high BP, hypothyroidism, spinal issues, rashes, etc., as well as treat me when I get sick with common seasonal viruses or UTI's. He has performed/scheduled routine blood tests (more extensive ones when needed), urinalysis, xrays, CAT scans, etc (if warranted) in order to be thorough and find the cause of my issues in order to treat them effectively. He has gone above & beyond to help me feel better & always takes the time to actually explain things in a way that is easy for me to understand. Any time my back issues have flared up or when I have had any female issues, he has been diligent in getting me quick referrals to specialists. I have sent countless messages via patient portal, and I have ALWAYS received a prompt response. My lab test results are posted on the portal for me to view usually with 24-48 hours, and if anything comes back abnormal, I receive a phone call to schedule further testing or to let me know that a script has been sent to the pharmacy and what it is for. I appreciate the time he takes, his compassion and caring bedside manner. His staff has always been very professional and friendly as well! As many times as I have been to see him, the wait time has always been very minimal - moreso than any other doctor I've been to, so I appreciate the good job of the scheduling department as well. If anyone needs an accurate account of how well Dr. Looney's practice is, please check ZocDoc reviews. That is actually where I initially found him when I moved the area and scheduled my 1st appointment.
This man shouldn’t be allowed to practice medicine! Very rude and doesn’t care about you as a patient only cares about making money! My last checkup he didn’t even do complete blood work! He needs his license revoked! A patient sees a doctor for medical care not to just talk! Doesn’t even have a computer to enter progress notes uses a piece of paper! I could get better care at jiffy lube!
Dr. Looney is an amazing doctor. He's spent a lot of time discussing my health issues. I'm impressed with how thorough he is.If you want a great doctor who actually cares, see Dr. Looney. If you are drug seeking for narcotics, go someplace else!!!
I read all the negativecomments butdecided to take achance. Good experience. It seems he has solved the problems .
Office never responds to any calls and now all you can do is leave a voicemail and wait for a call back. Have been trying to schedule another appt for my husband to get his BP checked and to change his meds but they never called back!
DR decided to let us know day before by email they couldn't see us for what we had been scheduled for for a week. Office never responded to call or email. Absolutely terrible. They tried to blame it on UHC, called UHC and they said no.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
