List of John P. Day's Reviews
Dr. Day is matter a fact and doesn't like to chit chat, but really know his stuff. Have been going to him for years for Colonoscopy. He does explain things well and gets right to the point. So if you want someone who is chatty go to your best friend but if you want a good doctor of gastroenterology go see Dr. Day.
He doesnt take the time to listen to your issues. He walks in and thinks he knows exactly what the issue is. He doesnt like when you come back for repeated issues, makes the issues to be "all in your head". I got no where with him and will not be going back.
A little slow getting in and out of the office, but Dr. Day has always been there for me and answer every question.
Performs job in rote, perfunctory manner. Poor bedside manner. Treats questions as challenges and is abrupt. Seems annoyed when you speak or make inquiries... As if he already knows what you are going to say.
The administrative staff at his practice are very abrupt. as is Dr. Day. He lacks courtesy, performs his job in a rote, perfunctory manner and does not encourage patient involvement in treatment plans. Questions seem to annoy him. As a senior. partner, perhaps he has heard it all and has become annoyed and tired of his profession. I do not recommend him.
The times I have visited this practice the majority of the staff treat patients in a rote, perfunctory manner. There is no compassion and the employees who answer the phones are abrupt. Dr. Day is not much different. He does not listen well to patients. He does not allow you to be partners in your treatment plan. I felt as if he were trying to intimidate me. When speaking to him it is as if he already knows what you are going to say and gives his rehearsed reply. He seems rushed, impatient and that he always needs to be elsewhere....anywhere but talking to patients. As a result of my experience with Dr Day my trust in this practice has greatly diminished.
Referred by primary care doctor for colonoscopy. Found cancer and arranged surgery with two of the best in area with 8 days. Going back for six months repeat colonoscopy to be sure all cancer is removed. Dr. Day is thorough, kind, just the best. Also has terrific nurse.
He really cares for his patients and is very friendly. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
