Rex A Sherer's Online Review Report Card

My wife used Dr. Sherer in August of 2021 for the gastric sleeve procedure. She put off having this done for years and now wishes she had done it sooner. Dr. Sherer did an amazing job and my wife could not be more pleased. This procedure has added years to her life and the quality of her life has improved ten fold! Thank you Dr. Sherer for making such a huge difference in our lives!

Dr Sherer has been my doctor/surgeon for a few of my medical conditions for quite some time. He's always interested in my needs and getting any surgical procedures done as quick and painless as possible. After the surgery and follow ups he's in contact and makes sure I am healing up right and answers questions like a friend instead of just a simple doctor. I feel like more than a patient with him, as well as his staff. They know me by my voice on the phone even..lol. I couldn't ask for better care for surgical care than CVSG and Dr Sherer. He's simply one of the best doctors I've known.

Dr. Sherer is a wonderful doctor. he removed my gall bladder and later performed hemorrhoid surgery for me. First of all he is a skilled surgeon. I had no problems with either surgery. He is very knowledgeable and very easy to work with. Extremely smart, also personable. He discussed the procedures in detail with me as I could understand them. I would recommend him to anyone for general surgery. I also like him as a person.

I was traveling through Alabama and ended up in an Emergency Room where I was diagnosed with a Peterson hernia. The ER called dr sherer to do my emergency surgery he was fantastic, skilled and extremely compassionate I have nothing but high praise for him thank you so much dr sherer

Dr. Sherer has performed several surgeries on me and each time I felt totally trusting of his abilities and his manner. He is kind and funny and talented in his field, like no other. I worked for a primary doctor and we sent all of our general surgical patients to him. I trust him with my life and you can, too.

Dr. Sherer himself is wonderful. This is a warning before you agree to have anything done at Shelby Ambulatory Center. Dr. Sherer said I should not have been charged a copay at both the hospital and the ambulatory center, but they both charged me a $150 copay. The center and the hospital will not work together to resolve this issue. The hospital even agreed after the procedure and issued me a refund. Now they have re-billed the $150 and sent it to a collection agency. This was for a sentinel node biopsy. The dye was injected in the hospital section and the surgery was performed in the ambulatory center.

Dr. Sherers knowledge, skills, experience, & level of professionalism, are second to none. He operated three separate times on me in less than a year. Each with successful outcomes! He is nothing short of extaordinary. Dr. Sherer gave me the ability to heal. Of which he gives that credit to god! His modesty & humble demeanor are qualities which put him in a league of his own. The staff is also a cut above. Making the whole group a team that is a mighty force! Praise god for them and may god bless them all! Thank you!

Dr Sherer did my gallbladder surgery, he was great and every thing went great with my surgery. I really appreciated him taking the time to explain everything. Office staff was very friendly and helpful.

Dr. Sherer is one of the best surgeons in the country. He performed surgeries on two family members and they both sailed through without any complications whatsoever and great outcomes!!! Thanks, Dr. Rex!!!

not going to go into a lot of detail.........Sherer performed a surgery on me 7 years ago. Before surgery, i could walk. Afterwards, I could not without aid. Have not driven since and in constant pain 24x7. Have seen many doctors since and they have been unable to undo the damage. He has robbed me of 7 years of my life and made me dependent on others.
