Steve L. Mackey's Online Review Report Card

I have been using Dr. Mackey for close to 20 years. I've seen him at the A.C. office and in Montgomery. He is very professional and listens to his patients. He also treats my husband and daughter. He goes over and beyond to help his patients. The office staff is wonderful too! They are friendly and caring too. We have never found a better dermatologist office.

I,along with several family members have been patients of Dr. MacKey for years. From sign in, to records update/interview to treatment, I have never had a bad experience and in fact,feel like he is a friend. He has a twinkle in his eye as if he just heard a good joke, goes to work, asks if you have any other concerns or questions and gives thorough answers. I am curious by nature and always have a few questions but we have had several chats also..if there is time. He has to be brief, there are other patients waiting but he has always been willing to listen to me.

horrrrrrrrible doctor... horrible office staff... horrible everything. Cannot stress this enough. In your best interests, please go some where else.

Brought my elderly Aunt to see this physician today. Seating for patients was horrific, chairs next to one another. Patients were permitted in without masks and several had terrible coughs. Staff were not wearing masks even though there is a city mandate to wear masks. After asking the receptionist why they were not wearing masks she stated "we are back here so we don't have to". 17 people were scheduled for the same time slot. We waited 2.34 hours. I will not reccomend this physician, his staff nor his overcrowded office.

The doctor and staff were not masked! When I went to my appointment in December 2020, during one of the peaks of the COVID-19 pandemic, the nurses, medical staff, and Dr. Mackey did not have masks on. At this time, our state was under a mask mandate. There is also signage throughout Jackson Hospital stating that masks are required. I saw other doctors and nurses with masks on throughout the hospital's ...

My examination was very brief, probably less than 3 minutes, and I got the feeling that Dr. Mackey was angry with me for some reason. I will be looking for another dermatologist.

Front desk staff discussed patient information where everyone in waiting area could hear. Dr. Mackey was rude, made no attempt to listen to me, when I told the nurse what he would not listen to dr Mackey got mad and purposely hurt me during the skin procedure he did for me, front desk staff was rude checking me out too. Overall horrible experience.

Excellent dermatologist. Very professional.

Dr Mackey diagnosed my issue hs and started the treatments...when in a major flair up he drained it to provide relief. Thank you Dr Mackey.

Simply speaking, find anyone else. Had a pre-cancer small bump on my face. Did the procedure in the waiting room! Went past all levels of skin so now I have a white, round spot on my face forever. Abrupt, uncaring! Do Not Use.
