I met Dr Hixon in RMC Emergency Room on the last day of December 2007, sure am glad I did because I was bleeding to death! He saved my life! I had a colonoscopy a couple of months ago and yep, saw him again. Doc was concerned because I hadn’t had a Colonoscopy in several years and my Mother had died from Colon cancer, Dr Hixon actually read my chart and about had a fit, told me I needed a colonoscopy right away! He did the procedure soon after I saw him and found a ( I think it was a poloup, (not sure of spelling,) that had grown to the inside of my colon, cut it out and used staples to close. Sent it off for testing and came back negative. Point is, Doctor Hixon is a good and caring Dr.who has much medical knowledge to boot and I don’t think anyone can beat that with a stick! Caring about your patient is more important than anything else to me!

I was impressed with this physician on so many levels. He truly listens to his patients and is thourough in examinations and testing. He doesn't talk down to you the way a lot of physicians do. Most act like you couldn't possibly know what you're talking about because you don't have the degrees and letters MD after your name. But not Dr. Hixon. All in all I have no complaints and would definitely recommend him.

Dont get me wrong he is a great doctor but you can never get anyone to answer the phone when you leave a message they might call or might not I had missed an appointment but was trying to call them the whole day not one time did anyone answer or call back I have called EVERYDAY since still not call back and I'm having dangerous problems that has sent me to the er. I finally had no choice but to find a new doctor two weeks of no call no help was enough. Especially when your bowels are starting to fall out of your butt. Love the doctor they just need better assistance on calls.

My husband has used Dr. HIXON for many years. I have also used him. He is a fine doctor and he won't quit until he finds what's wrong with you. We wouldn't use anyone else.

I had to have my 1st colonoscopy yesterday 4/19/19....I absolutely loved Dr. Hixon..!! My experience with him was great ! Bedside manner doesn't matter to me...knowledge does...(altho he was very nice) I will continue to use him for my IBS...
