John Valente's Online Review Report Card

Took my uncle to Dr Valente for his procedure on his arm; had an 8:30am appt which we arrived around 8:16am; my uncle was waiting well over an hour before he was called, and would still be waiting had I (his niece) not asked why he was having to wait so long. Others who arrived a lot later than we were being seen quickly. There should be better customer/client service by staff.

The only reason he got 1 star is because you have to give at least 1. My mom needed a general surgeon for a biopsy. First thing, good NP was a jerk because Mama doesn't go to a GP. She doesn't like doctors. That is her right. That's all she could focus on for the first 10 minutes. I had finally had enough. I told her we were there to discuss the tumor and I had questions. After she called me Dr. Google, I let her have it. She has complete lack of respect for how people feel and she turns people off from doctors that already don't want to be there. Next week Valente explains that we're there to learn that no results were back, mind you Mama is miserably sick and shouldn't be up. I had questions and he was snarky about asking him anything. He said nothing was back, the doctor he forwarded the results to read them to us on the same day that he said nothing was back. He was in the hall telling his NP that Mama was too far gone for saving after he told me there were no results. Egotistical

I believe that God puts you where you need to be. I live in Tennessee and my husband and I decided to come to Alabama to visit family and celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary. We were here no more than 30 minutes and I started having unbearable pain. About an hour later we were at the RMC Hospital in Anniston and was admitted to the hospital. I had emergency surgery on Sunday to have my gallbladder removed. Dr Valente did my surgery and he said if he had waited until Monday; it would have been a very different surgery. I was so infected. He never saw one that bad. He and his staff took great care of me. I am getting released today to go part of the way home. We promised we wouldn’t do the entire 5 hour trip in one day. I truly believe that God put this dr in my path because I needed one that cares for patients as well as he has for me.

My mother-in-law, Ms. Allie Barrett, was talking about wonderful Doctor Valente was with her surgery. She is still doing great, st age 86! And now she is highly recommending Dr. Valente to her son. Thank you Dr. Valente!

I wouldn't be alive today if it had not been for him. I had lung cancer and now I am cancer free. I had NO chemo or radiation; just CT Scans and PET Scan.
