List of J. Mitchell Cook's Reviews
Dr. Cook is technically competent but his manner needs improvement. Today I was explaining my view on medical poa and he told me to shut up. Those were his actual words “shut up.” I think he’s a good doctor just not the one for me.
I have been going to Dr. Cook for around three years now and I would highly recommend him. His staff is courteous and he genuinely cares about his patients. I feel like he listens very well which is something I value in a family doctor. Thank you Dr. Cook.
this man has no business being a doctor. he is far from being a christian as well. my experience whim was unbelievable. he is completely unprofessional and a very angry little man. this was my first and last visit whim. he yelled at me and made me cry and then said that he wasnt going to put up wme. wth?? this was by far the most crazy and horrific doctors appointment ive ever had in my life DO NOT SEE THIS ‘DOCTOR ‘
I love Dr. Cook and his staff. I am always greeted warmly when I am in the office. I like that you see Dr. Cook every time you are in the office and not an NP or PA. He personally takes time with you and answers all your questions. He works diligently to insure that you are on medications covered by your insurance to reduce the outofpocket expenses that you incur. I have had several PCPs and Dr. Cook is by far the best. He treats you with respect and treats you like a person.
I am surprised to see any negative reviews from Dr. Cook. I have been seeing him for a few years now after having enough of migraines on a normal basis. He has always been friendly welcoming and helpful to find the root cause of an issue and fix it.
Dr. Coke was so disrespectful I regret ever go into this office I do not recommend this office
Dr. Cook and the office staff are there to help each patient feel comfortable in receiving medical care well or sick. Dr. Cook encourages his patients to take an active part in the decision making process which he explains is part of a patient centered medical home practice. He encourages health wellness exercise and self awareness of my medical issues. The office staff are wonderful from the initial phone call checking in to checking out process.
I am surprised by the negative reviews about Dr Cook. I think Dr Cook is one if the best family doctors I have ever had. I have had quite a few. My original pcp I had since I was a kid retired and I have moved several times and had several different pcps in several cities. I had another family physician in my previous city also a DO which I prefer that I really liked but since I moved again it was just too fair for me to travel. I found one family doc when I first moved to my current city
I am surprised by all the negative reviews about Dr Cook. I found one family doc when I first moved to my current city and he was awful. Only saw him twice before switching to Dr Cook. I am so glad I did. Dr Cook really takes the time to go over all the symptoms I have my history and makes feel like he really cares about getting to the bottom of my issues. That is what good DOs do and why they are more educated than regular MDs. I am not really sure what some of these people expect... you are going to the doctor... not going on a date and the doctor is not there to amuse or entertain you. He is there to treat you.
1 of the worst experiences of my life 1. Ive been on maintenance meds that work well like birth control nasal steroids for years he wanted to change ALL of my meds during my 1st appt because he figured that I would be ready for a change. He gave no medical reasoning for the switch. I had to argue HEATEDLY for the right to stay on my meds. 2. He bashed my beloved former doc. 3. He shared my medical records wo my permission. 4. He repeatedly billed me $400 in error for a year

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
