If you are looking for a family practitioner that listens to your needs, that works with other doctors who are Specialists in their fields to form a collaborative solution, and if you need a doctor that treats you and your family with respect, might I highly recommend finding another office to go to.Now, if you're looking for a doctor that continues the bad decisions a previous doctor has made (and claims them as "his treatment plan"), and just pushes pills, without making an effort to find the root cause, by all means, this is your guy.If when you have a question about a treatment plan that just doesn't work any longer or perhaps never really worked, and you want your doctor to completely ignore you while passive aggressively discussing it with the other lady he brought into the room without introduction to the patient, again, this is your guy.
My mom always said if you don't have nothing good to say be quiet so 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I hate this place have to find my kid somewhere else
Dr. Caldwell, and his nurse practitioner are AWESOME! They listen. Not judgemental. After seeing multiple "specialusts", Dr. Caldwell was the one who didn't give up on me, and new that I wasn't feeling well and didn't give up. Thank you, doc, for ordering the tests that finally diagnosed my small lymphatic lymphoma. Because of your diligence, I am getting the treatment I need. I wish I still lived in the area so they could be my health care providers. The staff was great, also. I highly recommend this practice!
I needed a new primary care physician since I am recently retired and wanted one closer to home. I called and was told Dr. Caldwell is accepting new patients and the nurse would call me back. Later that day, the receptionist called me back and said I was rejected as a new patient by the nurse! I have great insurance (that the office accepts) and I am a 61 healthy woman. No explanation was forthcoming. This is wrong an uncaring.
We just love Dr. Caldwell and his wonderful staff. They are truly a blessing such nice service and friendly. Just can’t seem to find that southern hospitality much anymore in this day and age
Dr. Caldwell is a good doctor. Takes the time needed with his patients and really listens to their cares and concerns. Offers his professional opinion, but allows you the opportunity to make the final decision regarding your healthcare choices. Office is clean. Very professional atmosphere all around.
Dr Caldwell is personable & knowledgeable. I would Recommend Dr Caldwell as your general physician. The entire staff of Athens Primary Care Associates are a joy to work with.
Decided to see dr. Caldwell because dr. Maples was busy and wouldnt be able to see me for over a month. Went in for having dizzy spells, that of which I have a diagnosis for, told him about the diagnosis but he wouldnt listen to me and prescribe me the medication I need to keep from practically blacking out and insisted that it was depression. When I argued with him he left the room and came back with free samples (enough for a month worth) of depression medication and said to try them. My brother when in for back pain (he has severe and physically obvious sculliosus so he refers him to a leg dr in Birmingham, and obviously they couldnt see them. He also refused to check up on my brothers childhood disease claiming it cant happen to a child and that the pediatrician specialists at the children's hospital was wrong. He likes to talk over you, tells you what's wrong with you, and wont listen. He DOESNT do a physical exam, never touched you once. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND, his co worker dr maples is a touch better (really literally like .5% better), and not worth the wait
My husband needed a doctor ASAP and Dr. Caldwell was a fresh of breath air. He is a nice guy, easy to talk to, and a doctor my husband finally will return to see! Would recommend to anyone
Dr. Caldwell is by far the best primary care physician my family has ever seen. He is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to thoroughly explain himself to his patients. Office staff is equally friendly and helpful. I would recommend him to any and all looking for an outstanding doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
