Very Kind, professional, knowledgeable and informative good listener.
Doesn't listen- I have gone to him for 3 years now. I have a couple other friends who also see him. We all are told the same thing- in fact we were laughing about it. Loves to give handouts - you have a issue he has a handout for you. Last place in Medical school is still call Doctor - I even asked the nurse to make sure she put my concerns in the chart.
I sought relief from what felt like a constant UTI (urgency, burning, etc). When my test came back negative for a UTI, he asked if I was stressed. I replied yes (who isn't?) and he then left and brought in a copy of "The Idiot's Guide to Behavioral Cognitive Therapy", and opened it to a book-marked chapter on "Catastrophizing". Rather than actually explore options to relieve my symptoms or ask about my history (I was already in therapy), he accused me of blowing my symptoms out of proportion/making them up in my head. He told me a walk in the fresh air would help. I wonder if he treats men this way, or just the women???? Either way, it took everything in me to not walk out immediately. I promptly made an appointment with a female doctor (4 hours round-trip away) who used an ultrasound on my bladder and identified a persistent issue that I am now medicated for. Gauthier cannot be trusted and should not be paid for his lousy and discriminatory practices. I'd avoid him at all costs.
Friendly and engaging; not hurried. Listens to concerns and gives patients ample time to ask questions.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
