My children’s pediatrician Dr Prejean deserves 5 stars. She’s the absolute best and no problems with the nursing staff in the back. They are awesome as well, but it’s the clerical staff that lacks. There have been times I’ve called and no answer where I’ve had to called the Bessemer office to get an appointment for this office and it wasn’t lunch time. There have been times where there were copays that they didn’t mention anything about when signing in and they let them build up without notifying us in person. Some seem to lack the knowledge of their job as well. Other than that, with the medical experience, my children have been well taken care of.

absolutely love dr pickens but i’ve been trying to schedule an appointment to have a covid test done for a couple days, just keep getting put on hold then hung up on. today i can’t call at all without it hanging up. waited an hour total monday (after getting hung up on the first time). also, multiple times i’ve called and scheduled appointments then when i got there they told me “we don’t have you scheduled for today”. love the pediatrician, i don’t like the front desk

Seems like I'm always having an issue with this place when I bring my son for an appointment. Today we were supposed to have his 1 year appointment. Called the office phone as per instructions and no one answered for more than 15 minutes and have the screenshot to prove it. Moving offices.Edit: I got there at 745, my sons appointment was at 8. Their phone won't ring until 8. As soon as it was 8 I was put on hold with no answer from anyone. Y'all are lazy not busy.

The only problem I ever had was the wait time on the phone but they still deserve five stars because it's always a pleasant visit when I go and I love the sick/well zone separation. M,,,

Dr. Lewis and Dr. Brookings are fantastic! The nurses and the office ladies are always pleasant. I love that they keep everything clean.

I've been calling and calling and it is ridiculous. I'm just trying to check on my application and nobody will answer the phone. I've called today and yet again nobody has answered. Been waiting over 3 minutes this time last week was an whole hour.

Hold times are horrible, they gave our baby a vaccination shot but never put it on her record. The place was clean and the staff was nice. But this place just wasn't a good fit for us.
