Bhg Bessemer Treatment Center's Online Review Report Card

They used to be great but the last year they're declining fast. I'm a high risk pregnant woman and they will still let me stand in a line over an hour long and don't care. I've had to leave yet l two different times from getting sick and almost passing out to go to the doctor. They took my take homes down almost back to none until I was persistent about seeing someone higher up because they said that my urine wasn't right temp even after watching me pee in cup a second time. I do nothing wrong and never had a problem for years until now and now they're slowly taking everything and causing problems with my high risk pregnancy. About to switch

this place saved my life. I thought I would have to die to get clean. But with the help and support from everyone at the clinic, I was able to clean up amd stay clean!!!Thank you all so much for what yall do!!!

I go once a week. Nice place for treatment. Drama free mostly if you stay to yourself and not get mixed up with the different groups of you know what I mean.

I like it it’s tge people I’ve been clean 5 years so they gotta work lol for me . But iWork the program as well. A lot of nurses change tgat sucks counselors as well but Anthony was great Mike Jeffries great counseling..

Do not go to this place the lines are so long and they are so disorganized it's ridiculous. You have to wait so long that you will end up using drugs again if you go to this place avoid this place at all costs they have no idea what they're doing.

They've made a whole lot of changes recently because they were bought out by a different company and we lost several really great counselors as a result. My experience though has been wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better counselor, he's a big part of my recovery. Always easy to talk to & helped me through some pretty tough times. They have great nurses & I love their head nurse. Just like with all places like this they have issues and I know not everyone is going to have a positive experience, but mine had been positive & life-changing. If you are in need of help from your addiction, I really recommend coming here.

I've been apart of this treatment facility since 2000. I started when the treatment center was located beside UAB in Bessemer . I've never really voiced my opinion, BUT, I guess there is a time for everything. For starters not being able to keep a councilor for more than a few months is old, yes we are RECOVERING drug addicts but we are human , the way some treat the clients is ridiculous, if they cant be anymore professional than the actions and attitude they have toward us They need to get a different profession, because some of these clients dont care and someone is going to end up hurt. They treat us like we are beneath them, and to be technical we are why they have a job. Another thing is if you have been there for as long as I have, and your doing good, I've had my take homes for 19 years leave us alone. If it's not broke dont fix it. We get tired of telling our story over and over . People are going to start going somewhere else.

Update on my review... Alot of changes is causing alot of problems for alot of people. The new owners need to take into consideration that we are addicts and some days are harder than others and paying is tough!! Now as of today NO MORE charging??? I mean really??? Alot of us can't pay every day and need that little help for those of us who pay you back..the long lines are ridiculous..Everyones quitting.. It's getting where alot of us don't want to go anymore because of the way you are treated and long lines.. Alot losing their jobs due to b.s... Counselors telling your business that shouldn't be told to anyone there...

I HAVE TO SAY MRS.JANICE AND MRS.CANDY ARE MY FAVORITES AND THE BEST AND REAL SWEET TO EVERYONE OUT FRONT ..... AND ALSO THE NURSES WAS VERT SWEET AND NICE TO AND THE COUNSLERS ARE FINE THERE ARE SOME AN AWESOME JOB....

Very friendly staff for the most part..Ms Janice & Candy are my favorites. They've always have our backs no matter what. The counselors could learn a thing or two from these two lovely women!!
