Dr Fulmer and his staff are very friendly. They do their best to help all their patients. Dr Fulmer has operated on my neck 2 times and I have an appointment to see him about my lower back.
Almost 6 years ago I thought there was nothing that could be done for me. I was sent to see Dr. Fulmer and he said he thought he could help me. Boy did he. My life is now worth living. Thank you Doctor and your staff
He is a great doctor that put back on my feet I can't rate him high enough. He will be the only surgeon to ever touch my back. He gave me back my active life .God bless his hands.
I went to Dr. Fulmer after years of lower back pain. He sent me for an mri and turns out I had a herniated disc. He told me it was large and I needed surgery. My surgery was scheduled for a Monday so the Friday before I waited for a call to tell me what time to arrive. No one ever called so around 3 I started calling and emailing trying to find what time to be there. Finally got a response. Morning of surgery I arrived at said time. An hour after waiting, his office called me. (Which is separate from surgery center). They said “Dr. Fulmer was looking for you this morning.” I informed them I was in the waiting room and had been waiting an hour. Turns out they had the wrong number for me. Another hour later I was called back. Once I was in the room I waited another couple of hours. After surgery I was in a lot of pain. The nurse says “you just had surgery you’re going to be in pain”. Then she looked at my arm and the iv had ruptured and my arm was swollen bad. I guess then is when they started a new iv and gave medicine or something because I don’t remember much of anything after that. My husband and the nurse had to dress me because I could not wake up. I was VERY sedated. I was there 12 hours and it was a terrible experience. Recovery was terrible. The stitch job he did was TERRIBLE. Then eight weeks later my back still hasn’t healed properly (no infection it just hasn’t healed and it still scabbed badly) so I had to go back and see him. I told him my back still felt pinched and hurt the same way as before surgery. He said I would be ok and was very dismissive. If you want someone who is going to listen to you this is not the doctor for you. The surgery did not help and the recovery is terrible! If you MUST have surgery I would NOT recommend this doctor or surgery center
Easily the worst doctor’s office I have ever dealt with. My husband had an appointment last week. Dr. Fulmer was nice and fairly helpful. But we had a simple question after that. I have spoken to them on the phone 6 times now and they absolutely REFUSE to ask the doctor the question. They promised he’d call us back and then 4 days later after no call I spoke to them again where they said we’d have to make another appointment if we wanted to speak to him. To ask a question about a medication he prescribed during the last appointment?! That’s insane. The staff is incredibly rude. Go literally to any other office and you’ll have a better outcome Edit: After speaking with another nurse who actually was helpful, Dr. Fulmer was finally asked our question and we are thankful to her for doing that. I understand this is a large office and we only dealt with a portion of it. I cannot speak to the helpfulness of the other doctors and staff. Dr. Fulmer was nice and helpful. The second nurse we dealt with on the phone was very helpful and the male nurse who set up the physical therapy was nice. The original nurse and the administrative lady we spoke with were condescending, spoke over us, lied about what was originally told to us (we WERE told that Dr. Fulmer would call us back) and made this a terrible office experience. Therefore I stand by that I would not recommend this office and that is was the worst doctor’s experience we’ve had. I’m really astounded that a simple question to the doctor has resulted in all of this. This could have been solved very easily by just asking the doctor our question when we called the first time.
Paralyzed my vocal cords during surgery. At my post surgery appointment I questioned him about it, he didn't respond and then he dismissed me. My previous surgeon, who retired, would not dismiss me for at least 9 months after my 2 neck surgeries. My ENT is the one who said my vocal cords had been paralyzed during surgery. I've had several procedures done that didn't help and had to have vocal cord implants as a result. I will never be able to sing again.
Dr. Fulmer was nice enough and addressed our problems. Unfortunately that could not make up for how rude and unhelpful his office and nurses are. The follow up care was the worst I have ever received. I had an extremely simple question and they refused for a week to ask the doctor for me or to have him call me (even though at first they said they would). I will go to any other neurosurgeon than this one.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
